Kentucky and Oregon voted yesterday and a milestone has been reached. Obama now has the MAJORITY of pledged delegates. There are only 86 pledged delegates left and 211 uncommitted Super delegates. More Super Delegates expected to decide today.

According to the Associated Press:

Pledged Delegates
Obama 1649 / Clinton 1497

Super Delegates
Obama 307 / Clinton 279

TOTALS
Obama 1956 / Clinton 1776

Needed to Win
Obama 70 / Clinton 250

Pledged Delegates Remaining: 86

Super Delegates Still Uncommitted: 211

Remember back in March Nancy Pelosi said the Super delegates should back the candidate with the MOST pledged delegates? Remember that she was threatened by Hillary campaign contributors? Well, Barack has the MAJORITY of pledged delegates. Now what?

Will Senator Clinton run as an Independent? It’s possible. Clinton supporters, are you for this or against it and why?

Some say race was a big factor in Kentucky. This "racial divide" narrative is such CRAP! We’ll flush that out today.

There was a Republican Primary in Kentucky as well. McCain only received 72% of the vote and he had no opposition!

Georgia Republican Party Chairwoman compares McCain to Jesus on the cross?

And Grandpa McCain is confused again. He thinks Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is the Leader of Iran and that Barack Obama said he’d negotiate with him. The leader of Iran is the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Khamenei runs Iranian foreign policy and is also in charge of the nuclear program. Obama never said he’d negotiate with him.

FOOD FIGHT in the House of Representatives. The GREAT Henry Waxman, Chairman of The Government Oversight Committee questioned the head of the EPA Stephen Johnson on Global Warming and whether his decisions are his own or made for him by The White House. Idiot Darryl Issa was trying to run interference for Mr. Johnson and let's just say it didn't go well for Issa! Thank God for Henry Waxman! WATCH HERE:

Sadly today we heard that Senator Ted Kennedy is fighting a highly lethal form of brain cancer. His fellow Senators are in shock especially the most Senior Senator, West Virginia's Robert Byrd who was brought to tears upon hearing the news.

Hillary doesn't have the money to run as an independent.

Also if she does that and ruins the Democratic Party's chances in November by pulling a John B. Anderson my guess would be that her political career will come to a very abrupt ending.

I've already done some of this homework on my own.

I'll do the rest if I feel like it, so there! tongue.gif

A lawsuit is being filed against the speaker of the house. Nancy Pelosi and former speaker of the house Newt Gingrich did a tv ad for former vice president Al Gore's non profit group alliance for climate protection. Claims that this ad is in violation of campaign reform act of 2002 (aka McCain-Feingold) I guess hollywood has fired the first shot over the bow. The thought of Newt helping her campaign is a big a joke as Hillary's thought of being president.

it is whackadoodle imo (and i support hrc) but a liberal does what is good for the whole, not the one.

and nadering another vote at this time in history is not good for democrats and not good for america. if she loses to obama, then she lost fair and square and it's time for her to listen to what the people wanted.

and i will add that altho i am probably more socialist then most of you ~ you do not write a book with "it takes a village in it" and expect the person not to do what is good for the whole. damn i hope that made an iota of sense cause i'm late.

Is there a test on the homework? 'Cause I'm not good at test taking...

Webb appeared on Morning Joe today

"Black America and Scotch-Irish America are like tortured siblings. They both have long history and they both missed the boat when it came to the larger benefits that a lot of other people were able to receive. There's a saying in the Appalachian mountains that they say to one another, and it's, "if you're poor and white, you're out of sight." ...

If this cultural group could get at the same table as black America you could re change populist American politics. Because they have so much in common in terms of what they need out of government."

watch the video for a little understanding on what happen in WV-KY etc

Randi raised great point. Bill Clinton lost white male vote in '92/'96?

The focus on race is out of whack-a-doodle.

We need some help in Arizona. One of our GOP state legislators filed a law that would have allowed all college students to carry concealed weapons on campus... that's right ASU students armed...this gives you an idea on how brilliant the Arizona Legislature is; at least the GOP side of the aisle. The Bill this year failed! But the legislator vows to file it again next session, forget about real issues. The NRA has sent out a bulletin telling its members that we need this bill in Arizona. I am a gun toting NRA member who happens to be a liberal. I carry a weapon, I was a law enforcement officer and an assistant prosecutor in my life before moving to Arizona. I have a reason to be armed and I have been trained with weapons; this more than I can say about most of the other gun carrying citizens of Arizona. Now the NRA wants its members to sign on to a poll being taken on the Internet at WWW.AZCENTRAL.COM/NEWS/ the poll is to determine whether or not the legislature should entertain this issue next session. Please go to this site and vote. The last thing we need is a bunch of college bullies carrying weapons in class and around campus. Bye the way, these are the same legislators that wanted people to be allowed to carry guns in barrooms!

McCain! He's like Jesus with an itchy trigger finger, and a nuclear arsenal!

I've been using 2008 Democratic Convention Watch to track delegates. They do a great job of confirming each one as well as showing the major networks counts. (I know, I know. I don't get to give homework. If I did I'd probably send folks to Five Thirty-Eight dot Com to study electoral vote projections.)

Thanks for the homework Randi.
