Ok so they can chuck out many Obama supporters that are in the military, thats the key behind this, You only have to be 17 to join, and 18 before graduation from boot camp, so in theory, many in Iraq don't want to be there anymore, so they vote to get out, alas, but they can't vote in person. Sounds like holding voters hostage to me. These rwers are a scourge and must be removed once and for all, no matter what.

HAVA requires any voter who registers to vote by mail and has not previously voted in a Federal election show current and valid photo identification or a copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or other government document that shows the name and address of the voter. Voters who submit any of these forms of identification during registration are exempt as are voters entitled to vote by absentee ballot under the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act.

Yowza! This is the first I've heard of this. Aren't there states that are conducting early voting now (and if not now, really soon)? How is that impacted?

It comes down to this, you can fight and die for this country, you just can't vote for a Dem. Face it people, the vast majority of the military are minorities and downtroden whites, there ya go. It's all POLITICS!!! Fuck, Hitler wasn't this shrewed.

Georgia (supposedly and entirely depending on the mood of out batshit crazy Secretary of State) allows voters to meet this requirement by putting the copy of the utility bill in the yellow envelope with the absentee ballot, otherwise, the ballot becomes "provisional" (which in Georgia means you get 48 hours after the election to get your ass down to the county voter registration office and show your ID).

The Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act, as the name implies, applies only to members of the military and US citizens living abroad. If you vote under this act, you can only vote for Federal offices (Pres, Senator, House) and not State offices (Governor).
