I have already posted on a couple of threads, but thought I should "formally" introduce myself here. I am British, live in the Bahamas (oh heck it's a hard life, but someone has to do it) and am married to a Bahamian who loves politics (his brother was a cabinet minister for several years and served his country for 25 years in our House of Assemby, so it's in the blood!) and we are all very much Obamafans and Randi fans.

Although I think that outsiders should tread carefully when commenting on the politics of other countries, I am sure you can appreciate that because of the Bahamas' close proximity to the USA and our reliance on just about everything we need for day to day life being imported from the USA, (gas is now $5.24 a gall, btw) we have a keen interest in what happens in this very important and historic political race. As a woman I have been very thrilled to see Hillary Clinton get so far, although I do not like her all that much, it's still history in the making and a very important step for America. Of course, in Britain we have already had a woman Prime Minister in Margaret Thatcher. But it is far more exciting to see Barack Obama doing so well, and we have great hopes for him and America, and the world, should he become president in November.

I also am a big fan of Keith Olbermann biggrin.gif

And on a humorous note, we have a quaker parrot who is a chatty little fella, and I was just trying to teach him to say "Obama for President"...when he is learning a new phrase he usually listens to me, then punctuates it with a loud screech.......after I had repeated "Obama for President" a few times, apparently he became bored and said "WHAT-EVER!!!" I think he has been listening to too much CNN.......... wink.gif

I'm one of the other few 'bird people' here and in the Keys. My girl is an almost-4-yr-old yellow-nape Amazon named Sophie (tho my Avi is my deceased 'baby girl', Keoke.) JNYC has a quaker.
