Schuster just said that he has news that 700 billion went from 350 billion now, then 150 billion and then 250 billion. Or something like that, I don't remember exactly. But does this mean they are going with the plan that Brent was talking to Randy about, where they pass 1/3 of it now and then 2/3rds in January? I hope so.

Obama also issued a statement that if he becomes president he will review the bailout plan and make any changes necessary, or something to that effect. I think this is good news. Maybe not the best news, but on the side of good rather than on the side of bad.

The BAILOUT has no component that is in any remote way "good news." The bailout is an historically unprecedented betrayal.

I watch all the major news channels MSNBC, CNN, to FOX NEWS.

I like Rachel Maddow. I used to listen to her on Air America. I used to like the way she read the news.

Keith Olbermann always seems mad, no matter what the topic is. Wasn't be a sport guy who turned to politics or something? rolleyes.gif

I watch CNN too, I like "Anderson Cooper's 360". I like the way he reports the news.

And, while I'm watch "Your World with Neil Cavuto" on FOX NEWS, I flip channels to CNN and watch "The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer" on CNN.
IndpendentConserLibertar
And, out of all the morning shows on the news channels.

I like "Morning Joe" the most. I like all the guests on the show and I like how Mika Brzezinski always argues with Joe Scarborough, even though it could be for "ratings"

I watch "FOX & FRIENDS" on FOX too, but it always seems like they are too sarcastic and it also seems like they think they are funny. I watch cause I like Gretchen Carlson.

CNN's morning show is just boring. All the hosts are bland and boring.

Just like everything dealing with money.

Everybody "over estimates" it.

Umm okay, no offense but did you read what I posted and not just the title of the article? It seems like you thought I was just asking people if they watched MSNBC.

Everything Faux news makes me throw up, because they are lying to the American public and trying to pass it off as truth. I hope that channel will be dismantled and Rupert Murdoch indicted for breaking the first amendment laws when Obama gets in office. I really hope you don't take anything on that channel seriously.

The only conservative person in news right now that I know of (because I'm not too big on watching anything else but MSNBC and CSPAN is Anderson Cooper. But Anderson Cooper clearly doesn't like Bush or McCain. I can tell that Anderson Cooper really cares and is not an extremist, like the people on Fox. I don't watch CNN though, unless I need to find something out that they aren't reporting on MSNBC or CSPAN.

And Olbermann is not angry, he only gets angry when he's reporting on lies that the right wing media bias machine has made up about him because he is one of the only true patriots left in the media. You need not say crap about Olbermann around me or you might get kicked.

Amen! No Bail Out!

You know, most of the RRMB members don't seem to be very interested in what congress is doing with our $700,000,000,000.00!

Most RRMBers have gone against the blank check originally requested by Bush and Paulson. The Consrevatives and McCain have tried to make political hay out of the situation

The issue is the middle class HAS been in crisis and the economy is dead in the water right now hurting the average American.

I still like to watch Amy Goodman on "Link" Democracy Now, she is terrific, too bad she can't get on one of the big three cable news channels. MSNB could replace David Gregory with Amy, and it would be fine by me!

yeah I saw they decreased it and said it is not a bailout...i call it bull sh*t!

Yes, I read what you posted. I posted what I thought in the third post in the thread.

In my opinion, all news channels are bias.

A true news channel should have no biases, but that's not how tv channels get their ratings anymore.

People don't want to think for themselves anymore.

And here is an example of how bias all the news channels are. I haven't heard a news channel talk about "corporate welfare" until the Bail Out deal broke, and you know why? It's because each and every one of the news channels is owned by a big corporation.

The only place I heard people talking about "corporate welfare" was online.

The way it is set up now, yes, it is. But, FDR did allow the government to buy a bunch of properties during the Great Depression. Of course, he also put together some great "reinvest in America and Americans" stuff that is generally lacking from this bunch of buffoons in DC . . .

Hun, I am not saying I like paying money to these greedy people. Please get a clue. I'm really sick of this. I'm sorry if I'm coming off as rude, but I want this situation solved. Sometimes we have to suffer to make things better. And if you had read all of what I posted and if you trusted in Obama, you would know that Obama plans to amend this once he gets in office. They need to do something about this. Unfortunately it involves money from the people in this country. This does not mean I don't care about what is happening with my money. Maybe you should stop being so concerned about money and think about what will happen if this isn't resolved. Could it be that you are being a bit money hungry and not looking at the bigger picture!!!? rolleyes.gif

Exactly. Thank you.

I'm not saying I'm happy about the taxpayers having to pay money. Geez louise, people need to actually read what I am saying and think about it before they go on a rant. Unfortunately this is what they can do to solve the problem now. When Obama gets into office, it will be fixed. If the repugs and Bush won't listen, there's nothing that can be done until January.

They didn't decrease anything. They spread the payments out over time.

I don't even care anymore personally. I'm sick of hearing about it, lol. And I'm sick of people bickering. I don't like being played with, and that is what the McCain supporters on the hill are trying to do. It's like a game to them. This is the most bizarre thing ever! lol

As GCurry said it's about gaming the system. At this point the emperor wears no clothes and the country is repulsed!

We had to go through that first round since Bush and Paulson yelled fire! and McCain did a George Costanza!

Well, at the risk of being accused of endorsing the plan proposed, it's more complicated than that. At each step along the way Congress is to review the disbursement of the previous amount and make a determination as to whether the next chunk is made available, and whether any additional or different standards will have to be met.
