MoveOn Demands Apology From Brokaw For Citing False Polling


On last Sunday's Meet The Press, Tom Brokaw closed down the show's Battle of the Campaign Flacks by deflecting the crux of David Axelrod's Iraq-judgement argument with poll numbers that he had at the ready:

MR. AXELROD: What has happened is, as Senator Obama predicted from the beginning, that we got distracted in Iraq and now Osama bin Laden, who was the person who attacked the United States, killed 3,000 American citizens, is now resurgent. He is stronger. And that's the result of the misbegotten decision of John McCain. And he stubbornly wants to continue, even as the Iraqis won't take responsibility, sitting on $79 billion of their own surplus while we spend $10 billion a month. It doesn't make sense. We can't take more of the same, Steve.

MR. BROKAW: In fairness to everybody here, I'm just going to end on one note, and that is that we continue to poll on who's best equipped to be commander in chief, and John McCain continues to lead in that category despite the criticism from Barack Obama by a factor of 53 to 42 percent in our latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.

Brokawsa schmuck, he has the numbers backwards, good for Moveon.

And what's with "by a factor of 53 to 42 percent"? He used the term improperly several times that night. That's not the proper use of the term "factor" If he wants to use "factor" it would be "by a factor of 1.26 to 1" ... that's not even considering the lie.

When I saw him do this on Sunday, I almost spit my coffee out. He and David Gregory are obscene with the McCain ass kissing. I am damn glad MoveOn called him out on this!

Oh, the corporate whores are so transparent. This is why I turned off the tv after the debates the other night. I knew it was only a matter of time for the lying to begin. On CNN, they were getting in very favorable numbers on Obama as to WHO won the debate. The people spoke and they could not leave it alone.

BTW, I have been seeing some great Move.On ads on MSNBC primetime, calling out McCain on all his drama queen pranks.

Really, at this point, McCain is beating himself.

I would like to see Helen Thomas fart in Gregory's face, and then see him pass out while standing up to ask a question, then cut to Helen, smirking....

He’s taken over for Tim Russert, who, as you can tell from the “Pope-like” funeral and coverage, was an upper echelon insider operative like Andrea Mitchell, Bob Novak, etc. These are the disinformation squad posing as something else, like actual reporters. It is all a big charade, my friends.
