I recently bought the movie after seeing it in class earlier in the semester.

For those who don't know, Helvetica is a type face that is a very commonly used one. It's a Sans Seriff type face that's clean, works really well and has been in use for a very long time.

The documentary, Helvetica, goes somewhat into it's history. But, it mostly goes into the designers who have used it, or are resistant to it. But, everyone has an opinion on it and usually the designers are pretty entertaining when talking about it, and other type faces.

My favorite part was when Paula Schere of Pentagram was talking about Helvetica. She saw it as the type face of the Vietnam War and pretty much doesn't want to use it. When asked what's the type face of the current war, she still says Helvetica.

If anyone here has an interest in graphic design or typography, it's an interesting movie to watch. Well, even if you don't, it does put a human face behind the people who are mostly anonymous.
