A little old, but I think everyone on here should see this... Very funny in a dark sort of way, but an instant classic!

I hope no one got the wrong link that I originally posted.

That was entertaining, thanks!

That was way stupid.

In American we ARE the government. That's the point.

Abolish government and you have nothing but private companies in which you have NO VOICE as to it's decisions.

The problem isn't government. The problem is bad government corrupted by big corporations.

If you think that video was good, you are so behind the curve, it's astonishing. When you get rolled over by big business, the truly funny thing is, you'll look to Liberal, Democratic Government to protect you, and it won't be there, you'll die like a dumbass, and I'll have trouble not laughing at the fact that you just shot yourself in the foot.

Um... I think the point of the video was sarcasm.

Yes, I hate it when I go into a restaurant and they expect me to pay for the meal I ate ... and what's with the cost of the meal? Sure, they can argue that they have to pay for the heat and lights so I can sit there comfortable and see what I'm eating, but when did I ever demand that I didn't want to eat my meal shivering in the dark? And if I wanted my food on a plate instead of just dumped in my hands, wouldn't I have asked for such a "service"?

That's what "tax haters" seem to be saying.

Then it needs emoticons.

That's pretty much why I posted it... I liked how it was done. I make videos myself, so I was very impressed. Someone who had politics I didn't share sent me the link. He believed everything in it and was promoting anarchy, I just watched it and laughed.

The problem with it is that it basically IS the Libertarian mantra, and if you read the responses, FAR too many people agree with it. Propaganda isn't something you fuck around with lightly.

I think some of the messages are right on the mark. Like how the middle class, myself included, tend to put ourselves in debt over nice shiny things.

I've been regretting that decision and still continue to do it.

I'm trying to decide whether I should pay off my high interest credit cards before I tackle the lower interest ones. Or if I should go after the lower interest ones first and then try to pay the higher interest ones.

Paying off the higher interest cards would probably be a better deal though. Considering how much interest is taken out every month.

That I would agree with.

Unfortunately, statistically, FAR more people put themselves into debt because of medical issues, rent, or food, than "shiny things".

In some measure the shiny things argument is only partly valid, and in greater measure is blaming the victim.

High interest cards first. No Question.

I'm not discounting the debt that medical costs consume. I'm still wondering why average american citizens are against the idea of single payer health care.

Oh, and thanks NoYards. I was leaning towards that but I really just need some actual financial advice. My mom tries to give it but sometimes I feel her observations are off.
Dem4Life
I think the reason single payer healthcare won't work is because we live in a world when we wonder WHEN we'll get cancer, not IF.
If single payer gets its way, it WILL turn into home and car insurance...get sick and we raise your rates...get cancer and we'll cut you off...
If you want to play Russian roulette and hope for the best, that's up to you.
Don't fall for it.
Single payer is a farse...unfortunately, because of all the nastiness in this world, we're all becoming sicker by the day. Do you honestly think Insurers with stock-holders to pander give a damn about your health?

I was slightly interested in Libertarianism till I found out that it was too much like being a Republican... Anyway, I'm sorry if I offended you with the video. I just found it funny and wanted to share.
