Didn't I see McCain shake Obama's hand right after the debate was over when Tom Brokaw told him to get the hell out of the way?

I thought so too. I thought they shook hands then had to move becauee Brokaw couldn't see his cheat-sheet.

Maybe we're deluded?

I hope so. I'm listening to my podcast now and Randi made a big stink about the hand shake.

Today's LA Times has a photo of the "openning handshake" at the start of the debate on page one, above the fold.

I don't remember much about the closing handshake. I think it got interupted by Mister Brokaw

I guess Randi didn't see it. Hopefully not many people were listening to the first part of the show

I think you mean about the segment after the debate when the candidates and their wives are doing a meet and greet with the audience.

McNutso comes up behind Obama, taps him on the back with his left hand while shaking the hand of a black man in the audience in front of Obama with his right. When Obama reaches out to shake hands McCain's wife shakes hands with Obama and McNutso then moves away.

I still believe McNutso had to get out of there to have his Depends changed.
He used the word twice in his answer about Russia.

McCain couldn't get his little flipper arm up high enough to shake Obama's hand

I'm pretty sure they shook hands by Brokaw. It seemed like Randi didn't see that one, and it looked easy to miss.

But it was a pretty obvious snub when that zero didn't shake hands with That One when the wives were around.

And Cindy didn't look happy or comfortable.

They did immediately after the conclusion.

Thanks. I was worried about my own delusions there for a while. I kept thinking "I KNOW they shook hands - because I made a point of looking for it".

Still, even in the hand-shake department, Obama looks strong, able, and confident, and McCain looks like a turtle-troll with flipper-arms.
