I read a story yesterday about Republican rallies are becoming a frenzy of whackos.

Is the media helping McCain's instigation tactics?

They are showing you what they really are. I find no difference between Republicans, Nazis, or Al Qaeda. They have all turned out to be pretty much the same thing. As for the Republicans, my signature says it all:

The MSM will try to increase the frenzy for ratings, that's another thing we should do away with, ratings have become a sick side show for all that is wrong. How will we know whose popular they will ask? I say put on good programming and see who wants to buy add time. If you suck you'll find out pretty soon.

I heard on Thom Hartman that the one guy talking at that town hall was actually hired to do that. He gave his web page but I didn't write it down....

It's in the other thread about people being hired to show up angry. He's an actor in opinion. Google James T. Harris, he has a blog.

Bush would love to see civil unrest before the election. It would give the means of convincing the military that they need to break Posse Comitatus laws to control the masses.

Don't show up. Just show up at the Polls in November.

Well, they're reporting on how savage the crowds are becoming, and today they've been reporting on how McCain himself is trying to back away from that shit - for example just today telling a woman in Wisconsin that she was wrong when she said Obama "is an Arab," - this while they're ALSO reporting that McCain's campaign continues to whip the froth, today by issuing more condemnations of Avery.

If the media reports what McCain is doing, they're exacerbating the problem. If the media ignores and doesn't report on what the McCain campaign is doing, they're aiding and abetting.

With the standing exception always given for Fox, the media IS covering the animalistic crowds, the McCain campaign's efforts to whip up more of it, and the across the board condemnations of those criticizing the campaign.
