I can get the Mike Malloy intro, but Randi isn't coming on.

I have the same problem, nothing after the Malloy intro. Probably best, I need to go study my statistics. I was just hoping for an excuse not to.

Maureen--I'm in IL also, on dial up, and it's working fine, try reloading or go to novam directly. One time I had to use aol for a day. Also I recommend Firefox if you aren't already using it.

1) Restart your browser (emptying cache may also help)

2) If no joy, REBOOT and start from scratch!

(Tap is right, Firefox is much more robust for streaming media)

I was having the same problem last week from Thursday until Monday morning. I was going to call verizon when I got home in the afternoon yesterday and "like a miracle" it was working flawlessly.

Matter of fact my internet connection was like mud for that entire period. Pages would load up 90% of the way and stop. Roving blackouts perhaps?

Couldn't be could it?

I must remove my tinfoil hat...it is clashing with my outfit.

Last week I had trouble one day and I realized that my phone jack was bad, so I called verizon to have them change it, hey I pay them for that, they did and no more problem. I also had the stream freeze 3 weeks ago, and that's when I used a different link on the novam page. FWIW.

Maureen, I'm trying to stream Randi's show live, using Firefox and Windows Media Player, as I always do, but I CAN'T. I keep getting an error message today that says the server is busy.

I also think it is volume, since Randi got canned from Scare America there are a lot more people streaming, so the servers get overwhelmed. There are a lot of different ways to stream, like local radio outlets. For instance, you can through Oregon and stream it there. I think there is a website of liberal programs and where you can stream them, I can't remember it off hand, I will check my list. Oh wait, novam has a list of affiliates, go there, look for streams and try.
