giving me goosebumps.

Yeah, that was pretty creepy. But that's what we're dealing with.

I have been amazed at all the video of these Palin-mobs. A look into a delusional under-informed world.

I was watching Sarah Palin giving a speech this morning, and she casually referred to a soldier who has just lost his life in Iraq, who was from New Hampshire where she was speaking. She showed a total, I mean total lack, or inability to feel compassion. No drop in her voice. Not even words of compassion.

Now I know for sure she thorougly lives in her War Cult, hates America (AIP), and loves the Moose Hunt more than we know. She is no shrinking violet as evidenced by her fascist rallies. This is all too surreal.

Could someone sum up what the intro was like? Missed it here. It sounds like maybe she played the seething mob at a Palin rally?

Thanks! I'll go find it later and play it, after she's off. I wonder what it is about Palin that inspires this mob mentality, it isn't only what she says, she herself inspires something hideous in the right people.

I somtimes wonder too...I realize that there's the racist element who'll never vote for a black person/Democrat, but holy crap the vileness. Maybe 9/11 either taught folks to hate all "brown people" or reinforced that already existing hatred, but somewhere in their brain they knew it wasn't, shall we say, "polite" to speak of blanket hatred in public....all Palin had to do was equate Obama and terrorist and whaddya know, their hatred is validated cuz a down-home-just-a-simple-gal Governor would NEVER say anything false...banghead.gif

So, she's like them, so they trust her...and maybe they also sense this part of her that gives herself over to these extremist movements, like the AIP, and, well I don't know if she's a part of it or not, but she got the endorsement, didn't she, of the Christian Exodus movement? I can't find anything on that so far by Googling.

Or, they think she is because of the way she talks. She's nothing like them. She looks down on them.

The South Carolina people? I wouldn't be surprised but I believe that's a different faction of christian theocrats than the ones she runs in. There's a few stories on her religious wanderings in the religion section if you want to check them out.

Talk2Action, a leftist Christian site, has probably the best research team I've seen on the topic. http://www.talk2action.com

Ugh, just doing a very superficial google myself made me wanna boil the computer...

My opinion (for now) is that she's a major manipulator who favors some form of theocracy, and if she can gin up popularity by plugging into other peoples' hate to forward her career/goals, then doggone it she'll do it...nothing toxic there, right?

What's interesting, and the most disturbing, is that she's pretty silent on it. All we can put together is her past and current churches and derive something from that.

The LA times had an interesting article that actually argues against her injecting her own religion (whatever that is -- she hasn't ever gone into any specifics that I can tell, and it's driving the fundos nuts) into her governing.

http://www.latimes.com/news/politics/la-na...0,3643718.story

There are other articles that say the exact opposite, like this AP article (long) http://www.newsweek.com/id/163438/page/1

She definitely runs in theocrat extremist circles. The fact that she skirts questions when asked, such as in the Katie Couric interview, she comes off as hiding something and just plain lying.
