May 27-28, 2008 -- Another confirmation that Calipari was targeted by US forces
On March 4, 2005, US forces guarding the road from Baghdad to Baghdad Airport opened fire on the car transporting the deputy head of the Italian intelligence service SISMI and Italian journalist Giuliana Sgrena, freed by hostage takers, to an awaiting plane bound for Rome. Calipari was shot to death by New York National Guardsman Mario Lozano. Sgrena was seriously wounded in the American attack.
Previously, WMR reported that National Security Agency (NSA) sources had revealed that Calipari's identity was known in advance because his cell phone calls to Rome had been monitored by the agency's assets devoted to intercepting communications in Iraq. WMR has received yet another confirmation that Calipari was purposefully targeted by US forces who feared he was bringing out of Iraq evidence proving US war crimes in Iraq. It was reportedly part of a quid pro quo arranged with Sgrena's Iraqi captors who released her to Calipari in return for informing the world about US war crimes in Fallujah.
Our NSA sources have confirmed the evidence given to Calipari proved the use of poison gas and white phosphorus in Fallujah. NSA intercepts of phone conversations in Fallujah revealed that civilians were reporting that bombs and mortars used on the city contained poisonous gas and white phosphorus. The phone calls, intercepted by Arabic linguists at NSA, frantically reported that Iraqis were suffering from burning eyes, inability to breathe, and burning skin.
The latest report confirms an earlier WMR report from January 18, 2006: "the number two man in charge of Italian military intelligence, Nicola Calipari, and Italian journalist Giuliana Sgrena, were targeted by the U.S. military in a purposeful assassination last year while they were enroute to Baghdad International Airport after Sgrena was freed by her Iraqi insurgent captors. Calipari was killed and Sgrena was severely wounded in the U.S. attack. Both had reportedly been given information by the insurgents about U.S. war atrocities committed in Iraq and other sensitive information that was embarrassing to the Bush administration."

It's not unique it all. It's called "self-sourcing," and among journalists it's considered a bit like a five star restaurant trying to fob off a Swanson's TV Dinner as a premiere chef's work.

Last I heard, Madsen was a friend of The Randi Rhodes Show. A person who largely believes in truth, facts, homework, with a left bent to pointing out the absurdities of Washington, Media, and Corporate Assholes who rule the world - and the people be damned or get out of the fucking way.

Oh, MANY of them - not hard when he takes stories from the AP, Washington Post, NYT, Military Times, etc, then a week or two later issues identical stories BUT for the addition of new, scandalous details imparted to him exclusively by "unnamed sources." Case in point, morons in Minot put a number of live nukes on a jet that flies across the US.
Military Times breaks the story, everyone else follows, and there is astonishment everywhere because, contrary to a raft of US policies, live nukes were treated as dummies, and were flown across the country. A week or two later comes Madsen's explosive expose', nukes were loaded on to a jet, flown across the country, all for the purposes of sneaking one over the middle east for use in an attack on Iran, a falseflag op, etc., etc.
He's repeated the same pattern time after time
Now, has any embellishment offered by Madsen ever proven to be true? Has the NYT ever busted out a story saying, "As first reported by Wayne Madsen, we have confirmed that the man killed byu police in Houston actually WAS a CIA operative killed by the Mossad in the US?"
Not to my knowledge. Of course, that's easy explained by WM and his groupies. The MSM is either complicit in the majority of the scandals he uncovers, or they refuse to let it be known how routinely he kicks their asses with his dynamite conspiracies.
The perfect circular argument: That he's never been confirmed PROVES everyone is covering up.
Now, has Wayne written that Dick Cheney lied about Iraq, and THAT was proved to be true? Sure, but not only did others do it before him, they somehow managed to do it with a combination of unnamed sources, but also named sources and documents leaked to them that they include in their stories.

Sorry, Bushwa, that your idea of "journalism" seems to be ignoring stories unless the adminstration wants them reported. Sorry that this story did not receive the Pentagon's stamp of approval.
Real journalists are few and far-between these days in this country. In fact, they're getting rarer every day. That's why they don't cover stories like this or even impeachment articles being introduced in the House of Representatives against the President of the United States! What a joke. What if an impeachment proceeding happens but it's not covered by the msm, does that make it any less valid or true? Well, neither are the stories that courageous INDEPENDENT journalists cover about our foreign policy and the illegal covert activities of the Bush crime family.
Increasingly, it seems, that naysayers continually rail against TRUTH TELLERS.
