I know some wise guy at the jukebox played ABBA but all I seem to remember is this.
Welcome my son, welcome to the machine.
Where have you been?
It's alright we know where you've been.
You've been in the pipeline, filling in time,
Provided with toys and 'Scouting for Boys'.
You bought a guitar to punish your ma,
And you didn't like school, and you
know you're nobody's fool,
So welcome to the machine.
Welcome my son, welcome to the machine.
What did you dream?
It's alright we told you what to dream.
You dreamed of a big star,
He played a mean guitar,
He always ate in the Steak Bar.
He loved to drive in his Jaguar.
So welcome to the Machine.
Welcome to the Machine

The Pink Floyd

Guilty as charged on both counts of playing ABBA and Pink Floyd. The ABBA selection (Dancing Queen) was a stunt pulled over the recent thread in this Forum about the Seventies. The Pink Floyd song was not. I also popped on some Blind Faith, Frank Sinatra and the 1970's mix of a KISS song titled "Deuce". They didn't seem to have any Smokey Robinson songs, but that could just be because this was a modern touch screen juke box (a juke screen?) and I failed to operate it properly. For some reason I seem to remember putting on Elton John's "Good-bye Norma Jean" but that could just be selective memory kicking in on my last Juke box pick in an alternate universe ................
krinla was also making some picks on the Juke Box's touch screen a little later in the day.
Best Selections,
