Forgive me if this has been posed or if there is a topic for this, please show me the light (i'm relatively new here) I must admit I go to CNN.com to keep up on things. Yet after joining the best discussion forum on the net, I see there are stories people post that you don't find on the mainstream sites. Would you recommend some good sites that I should bookmark to get a better perspective on things?
Thanks so much!!!

Glenn Beck: WORST of the WORST - Tell CNN To Pull The Damn PlugThat's right! Glenn Beck is the worst program on cable news. And while the quality of the program, or lack thereof, has certainly earned Beck the award for garbage-caster of the year, that isn't what I'm talking about today. It's Beck's ratings for the month of May 2008, that confirm his place at rock bottom of the prime time cable news pile. One would have to wonder why CNN sticks with Beck who presides over the lowest rated program at any time, on any network, during prime time.

I recommend reading LOTS of varied news outlets; you can usually grab the truth from all the sources. I routinely watch:
Fox News
CNN
MSNBC
ABC
CBS
and listen to:
760 AM Progressive Talk (some Air America, Randi Rhodes, plus local progressive radio, like Jay Marvin and Mario Solis Marich)
Rush Limbaugh
and on the internet:
CNN
MSNBC
FOX
ABC
DailyKos
Politico
Free Republic
Here
RRMB
Slacker's Haven
Huffpo
Trust me, it sounds like a lot, but to me, it's worth it.

Easy. I want to not only know the news but keep track of how it is being spun by various sides.
