Clearly you dislike war.

PEOPLE who have been in wars, or their loved ones have, hate war...

Only someone who hates war should ever be in a position to decide to start one...

War is very serious fucking business, heart attack serious.

Exactly.

Of course, some people couch it with "It's my OPINION", or "From what I have OBSERVED".

Opinions are like assholes - everybody's got one. And I can't wait to find out what exactly they've OBSERVED that the rest of us have not. (I'm pretty sure that would be NOTHING. tongue.gif

And the way I see it, the only people who see the surge as failed are those with a stake in the USA losing. People who are unwilling to give the military, the administration, the country ANY credit for anything postive - in other words, the haters. tongue.gif

Hey the nations take our money & aid..

Countries who are unhappy with us are potential enemies anyway.

There is all kinds of negetive news, views & comments available about the US based on OPINIONS.

Now let me ask YOU: Which country is BETTER than the USA in terms of intentions & ideals? I mean a major power - don't be givin me Finland...

Anyone can break their own laws, give NATO the finger, break the Geneva accords, Russia can do better. China can do better. We are not supposed to be doing these things and be proud of them. This is why the present administration needs pardons out the ass. Our Constitution is not an Opinion!

Hating your own country is one thing... angry.gif

Seriously suggesting that Russia & China have better intentions & ideals than the USA is downright sublime.. ohmy.gif

I can't take anything you say seriously - WAIT! after reading a few of your posts, I never did. wink.gif

the good thing about it is that most will very likely grow out of it once they are mature enough to see how empty all this hate filled retoric & name calling really is. smile.gif

Meanwhile, kids LOVE name calling and I suppose that's why they're attracted here rolleyes.gif

We love our Country, that is why we question Washington's intentions.

We have not lived up to our own laws. We have caused death and destruction, we now are setting up the Fourth Reich, and are capable of being the nastiest thing ever unleashed upon the planet.

It does not matter when your leaders no longer are held to the Constitution, pass edicts, and now rule though Imperialism under a Fascist government.

No, many of us on this board are college educated professionals. You just like to keep repeating the young, impressionable, flaky image because it makes YOU feel superior... less impotent.

And so it goes....

It must be another instance of super-saturation w/ the neocon euphoriant of choice. Oh Yeah! koolaid.gif
More posts from the the compassionate-Conservative cul de sac of euphhonius cupidity.

$30 million to investigate zipper-gate, but only $3 million to investigate 9.11?

A few koolaid.gif euphonius euphemisms...
We don't torture! = the pResident reserves the right to torture.
Surge = ESCALATION.
War in Iraq = OCCUPATION
Conservative frugality = privatization. War profiteering = the DCCC, accounting arm of the DOD, just failed 13 of 13 audits.
Purple fingers = eventual privatized elections, instead overtly installing regimes.
US Constitution = usurped.
Et cetera, etc...

The surge is only the reinforcing religious factions, instead of unifying the nation into a more sectarian government.
When the Kurds walked out on a vote in Parliment the other day , the Sunni & Shia voted anyway.
Talibani, the leader of the Kurds, said that wasn't going to fly.
So now the elections that were scheduled for Oct, & then Dec, are now going to happen in 2009.

Will we SURGE or SWAB?

ther Fourth Reich? That's the bullshit juvenile crap. Merely opinion of wackos. Listen, the adminitration is gone end of year - ANY administration only got 8 years.

I can't take anything you say seriously - WAIT! after reading a few of your posts, I never did.

That's bullshit opinion too. If most americans felt that way and there was proveable evil done, they'd be arrested.

I don't like it when you promise not to leave the next administration a mess, I don't like it when you break out the fed credit card when promising to be a Conservative, I don't like it when you shit on our Constitution, I don't like it when you show the world we can be the next fourth Reich and need someone to hold us back, I don't like it when we get thrown off of the world court for war crimes, I don't like it when after we are taken off the United Nations Court that we are criminally liable for Nuremberg trials. And this is just a beginning,
RandiLover
Ok pal, what is it that this administration did that you are proud of, and dont tell me that we have not been attacked. We have, we lost our Constitution, monitary system, infrastructure, just to start.

Here's a bit on the surge - from a Right Libertarian surge opponent. It's helpful to see stuff from all different perspectives - if something is crap from all across the political spectrum, then it's probably crap.

QUOTE
Surge-on, Dudes!

We know the fable: A brave and determined U.S. President "stays the course," surging more troops into harms way despite the unpatriotic opposition of the antiwar appeasers. And, sure enough, it works!

And now, the military claims, The Surge is over. Is that a good thing?

Don't be too sure –
....
And no, one of the oldest cultures in the world can't gain peace, prosperity, and freedom – and begin to re-govern itself – via thousand-pound bombs, napalm, and torture – especially from outside sources. And despite the U.S. homework deficit and in the face of the childish U.S. Government talking point, the Iraqis are and have been "standing up" and taking responsibility for themselves – tragically, on both sides of the I.E.D.s.

Iraqi Prime Minister Maliki just told the U.S. Government he wants a withdraw deadline for U.S. troops. You know, when a puppet tells his puppet-masters to get lost, maybe it really is time to go, an excellent opportunity to follow The Surge to it's logical conclusion.

And, while you're surging – despite Mr. Obama's sudden tack right – you might want to surge-on straight out of Afghanistan too. And not make the mistake of surging into Pakistan – apparently Mr. Obama's ticket to ride the militaryindustrialcongressional complex – right alongside Mr. McCain.

And, while you're at it, why not surge all U.S. troops out of all foreign countries and save the trillion or so dollars of taxpayer money per year Ron Paul estimates that would save. Then, perhaps, you might end military Keynesianism – and even save the U.S. from economic collapse.

So don't waste any more time, dudes. Surge-on home.

Do it NOW!

Christine

not mccain...others, and i realize it makes no sense to people who havent had to sacrifice one way or another, dont know if that includes you or not*, and it isnt about having an opinion at all, it is about continuing to promote a war that was wrong from the get go, costing lives and not willing to make any sacrifice for it

if chickenhawks have no power and no say, we wont have unnecessary wars for profit, like this one

* i am not interested in making accusations againsts any one here individually, it never gets us anywhere...the chickenhawks know who they are, and again, I am not making accusations against any one individually

Until someone who is dear to you has come back dead or damaged, you can't truly know the cost of this war. I used to think I knew the cost of this war....I was against this war before it started. When "shock and awe" was being broadcast all I could think of was mothers huddling with their children hearing explosions getting closer and closer...then the first reports of dead soldiers came...then Mission Accomplished...then a loving grandfather leaving here the day after Christmas to beg his beloved grandson not to go to Camp Pendleton...then 7 short weeks later the IED that took his young life. My young nephew...gone in a flash. For what? That's the BIG question. Why did the president see fit to send troops into Iraq? To attack a sovereign country...What was the reason again? I want to know THE REASON! It's been 2 years now and I still haven't heard THE REASON why this happened. Is it too much to ask for, THE REASON? Why are people on both sides dying? It bothers me in my dreams and in my waking thoughts. What is it like to drive over a bomb that detonates under your unarmored vehicle? Not the vehicle you want, but the one you go to war with. Is it just a flash of light? Does it hurt? Does your spirit quickly leave your body? Do you slowly bleed to death calling for your mother because after all, he was just a kid. I keep wondering what THE REASON is but nobody seems to have that answer handy...the only thing that comes to my mind is one word...
just add a T....there it is, THE REASON...it's TREASON and I cannot let go of that any more than I can let go of my life...it burns in me and I LIVE to see the day that he will be prosecuted for TREASON. Then perhaps, I will hear his REASON.

Well, here we are many months later, and the surge is still a resounding failure. Still no political reconciliation. Still no unified Iraqi government, and we can expect persecution of the Kurds to start up real soon now.

Well, wait, that's not entirely true. There has been some reconciliation.

Maliki stated that he wants a time table for US withdraw. Right along the same time frame as the one Barack Obama proposed. And al Sadr has stated he would dissolve the Maddi Army if there were a timetable for US withdraw. Also right along the lines of the one Barack Obama proposed. So I guess that's some unity, after all.

In the end, all we see proclaiming success are those with a vested interest in it being a success. Those that planned it, those that profit from it, and those that are content to let young soldiers die because they are too proud to admit they got duped. America haters all.

I must second Dan in conveying my sorrow for your loss. We have become a country that does not respect individuality, dignity, or human worth. Our government no longer acts from its obligation to its citizenship - but rather directs its citizens to risk and lose their lives.

I am sorry for your loss.
