Hillary Clinton had the spotlight this weekend and made the most of it. I am grateful.

LET’S GET THIS PARTY STARTED!

While it’s not the party she planned the company IS GREAT. Obama and McCain couldn’t be more diametrically opposed on issues that matter most. The Economy, Health Care, Energy The Occupation of Iraq and the bomb bomb bomb - bombing of Iran.
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/06/08/opinion/08rich.html

There is a clear choice before us. Progress or more of the same. Who can afford MORE of anything let alone the same failed economic policies more tax cuts for the wealthy, more uninsured, more bloody wars and less of everything else?

Gas prices are averaging $4/gal nationwide and are predicted to hit $5/gal. Remember when Bush was asked a few months ago about $4/gal gas and he said he hadn’t heard that? Maybe he’ll hear it now? Nah.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHtR4m9Puc8

The mortgage crisis is worsening. Foreclosures set a record last month and more are on the way.

Steaks are $20/pound; milk is over $4/gal. Dow Chemical who makes everything willl be raising the price of EVERYTHING by about 20% the largest increase in 111 years! And it’s just the beginning of higher prices on EVERYTHING.
http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087

The stock market is tanking eating up our 401Ks.

The war is completely off The TV and the number of dead and wounded is piling up 4,086 dead best I can tell Out of sight out of mind? Oh dear God help us.

The Corporate Media will do whatever they are told to do. And there are only a handful of Dan Rathers left to blast them at the National Conference for Media Reform.

So now it’s you and me. My neighbors say stupid things like “Obama is a racist” and “Obama has no experience” So we need to talk and educate ourselves on the best way to talk to our friends, family and neighbors because no one can afford 4 more years of THIS!

Now that Hillary has endorsed Obama, I hope Randi will stop talking about her. We need to move on to the general election, and talk about what a walking disaster McBush is.

Randi will do what she does best, talking about the latest issues. Her help in trying to persuade my family to vote for Obama will be greatly appreciated. I will not talk to them when they become hostile over the subject. Ignorance is hard to overcome. I hope the time before the election will bring Obama's character to the lime light.

Dan Rather's comments at the National Conference for Media Reform were brilliant.
Everyone should read that article.

Good News on the economic front. Yea!

QUOTE
It's not all doom and gloom. Businesses that thrive on a weak dollar are holding up nicely. "In fact many sectors are benefiting from strong growth overseas, including high-tech, capital goods, chemical and other raw materials, aircraft," says Nariman Behravesh, chief economist at Global Insight. Bob Toney, president of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.-based National Liquidators, which auctions repossessed boats and yachts, has doubled his staff to 78 employees to pick up around 120 boats a month. "Two years ago, we had 200 cases in our inventory and now we have 610," he says.

Good job doing your own homework this weekend Randi. This is the issue that can sink McCain, especially if the Bush CFTC drags its feet.

On Health Care
By Greg Sargent - June 9, 2008, 1:42PM

Obama's speech in Raleigh launching his economy tour is underway, and towards the end, during a discussion of health care, he drops a surprise aside that wasn't in the speech's prepared remarks:

"By the way, I'm going to be partnering with Elizabeth Edwards, we're going to be figuring all this out."

More on this when we can establish the details.

Late Update: The key political context here, of course, is that back in April, Elizabeth revealed that Obama's health care plan wasn't her favorite. Enlisting her as a public voice on health care could obviously help with the Obama camp's outreach to women and help win over skeptics in general.

Late Late Update: For an idea of just how effective Elizabeth Edwards might be as a surrogate on health care for Obama and against McCain, take a look at this take-down by Elizabeth of McCain's plan.

This is good news!!

Of course it's shone!! Randi is alway right. And I mean that. 'Cause she is curious and researches everything!!

That's what we have to do for the one's who do not know what's being done to them right now. They're just waking up now, and looking up and realizing, HEY! I can't even pay my way to work because gas prices are so high!! What's going on here?

Now is the time to tell them what happened. Make them curious about the bastards who are causing them to suffer.

I just got this email from our good friend and one of the only people in government that we can trust...
Not to mention that Congressman Robert Wexler represents Randi's hood....

"Our campaign for accountability for the Bush administration is making legitimate progress.

I am pleased to announce to you that the House Judiciary Committee has met my public call for Scott McClellan's immediate testimony with action:

Today, Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers officially invited Mr. McClellan to testify under oath on Friday, June 20th at 10AM.

After all of our hard work pushing for impeachment hearings for Vice President Cheney – the McClellan hearing provides our cause with a legitimate opportunity to showcase the crimes and violations of this Administration for the American people, the mainstream media, reluctant members of the Democratic party, and sensible Republicans. This hearing provides us our first genuine opportunity to enter the public consciousness and change the dynamics that have prevented true accountability for Bush and Cheney.

Mr. McClellan was a major figure in the Valerie Plame/CIA scandal, as well as a leading propagandist for the Bush White House's deliberate attempts to hide the true costs of this war from the American public. As such, Mr. McClellan will testify under oath (and be subject to perjury charges should he lie) and be asked about the following matters:

1. What role did President Bush, Vice President Cheney , and key administration officials take in the effort to reveal the identity of covert CIA agent Valeria Plame Wilson – thus destroying her network and putting lives in jeopardy?
2. What role did President Bush, Vice President Cheney, and key administration officials take regarding the firing of U.S. Attorneys or political reasons?
3. What role did President Bush, Vice President Cheney, key administration officials take in conspiring to blatantly break U.S. and International laws prohibiting the use of torture?

I call on Mr. McClellen to immediately accept this invitation and testify under oath as he previously agreed to while being interviewed on national television.

During the hearing I will have roughly five short minutes to question Mr. McClellan and undercover the illegalities committed by this Administration – which is why it is critically important that every representative on the Judiciary Committee hears your voice. Please let them know that you demand answers to these questions.

Nor should it stop there: Karl Rove has thumbed his nose to the Judiciary Committee's subpoena – joining Harriet Miers, Joshua Bolten and Vice President Cheney's Chief of Staff David Addington as the only Administration officials in history to claim Congress has no power to even bring them before a committee to be questioned.

I have called for Karl Rove to be held in inherent contempt and for the other renegade officials to appear as required by their subpoenas, or be forced to do so by the House Sergeant of Arms.

What the Judiciary's request of McClellan proves is that if we stay vigilant – if we call loudly and repeatedly for accountability - that we become very difficult to ignore.

Please stay tuned. I hope for more developments soon."

With great respect,

Congressman Robert Wexler

Right on, the Hillary bashing was a bit too much for me. I think all that energy should be directed at the general election.
