How would you feel if you were suing, to the tune of, perhaps even millions of dollars in expenses and fees, etc., and MID-SUIT the government comes along and says, "Those companies have paid me enough to change the law, and your suit is hereby dis-missed! Buh-bye!"
Who pays the legal fees?
When Mulkasey (or whoever) won't pick up the prosecution after the civil suits die, where's the justice?
