Last night Chris Dodd went to The Senate Floor and delivered a passionate speech about YOUR CONSITUTIONAL RIGHT TO PRIVACY.
http://dodd.senate.gov/

This was hardly the first time that Senator Dodd pleaded with his colleagues to check the IMPERIAL PRESIDENT.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEDgtIdemZo

It will take you about a half an hour to LISTEN or a lifetime to explain to your children what you were doing the day the Consitution DIED.

Meanwhile...

8400 Americans a day are filing for foreclosures, gas is over $4.00 a gallon, inflation is rampant, civil liberties are being destroyed, soldiers are dying for NO BID OIL CONTRACTS that will NOT include sharing profits with Iraqis. How does this help prevent a deeper war inside Iraq when American Corporations get their resources?. What’s wrong with this picture?

The religious right is attacking our candidate for “distorting The Bible”? Really? This is what we need to concern ourselves with? James DOBSON? Really?

I think Senator Ben Nelson of Florida gave some pretty good remarks from the Floor of Senate yesterday. He gave a brief history of Enron pointing out the enron loophole was inserted into law during the Transitional period from Clinton to Bush, interesting.

Senator Nelson also pointed out that gasolene prices have a synergistic effect with the subprime meltdown. Those regular or ballooning mortages are harder to pay as the family income is depleted through oil prices making a Housing Legislation bailout for consumers imperative. Argument is financing for purchases of re-possessed homes or possible exploitation of the meltdown itself. Sort of slumlord mentality to go out and buy repos and devalued homes and on the government's dime, our taxdollars, think about it ? It's one think to protect consumers and it's another thing to use pubic assets for private capitalization, rather crony banker friendly if you were to ask me.

The other deal is that the Fed is holding the line on inflation. What does that mean, the economy is not fundementally sound, Corporations are not people too or disbelief in supply-side spending:

``The Committee expects inflation to moderate later this year and next year,'' the Federal Open Market Committee said in a statement today in Washington. ``However, in light of the continued increases in the prices of energy and some other commodities and the elevated state of some indicators of inflation expectations, uncertainty about the inflation outlook remains high.''

http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=206...&refer=home

Pssst, the fed never says really bad things so as not to panic the Daytraders.

Oh, and if you have time, check out Mr. Buffet's comments comparing takeovers to Porn Shops. Now where did he get that analogy, I wonder not, wink-wink.

There's a screenshot somewhere of their announcing Operation Iraqi Liberation. I'd have to look around to find it.

It's on page 65 of my copy of Armed Madhouse (paperback).

I went to San Francisco City Hall yesterday after work to join Cindy Sheehan's memorial for the 4th Amendment, and only one person was waiting in front of City Hall.
No Cindy Sheehan, nobody else. One guy.
So I walked over to the SF Federal Building (the old one) and nobody was there either.
Wonder if they went the other way to the new building, but I was rather disappointed to see nobody there.
Granted, I was about 10-15 minutes late, but I'm absolutely not seeing much happening here.
I want to know where Cindy Sheehan was, and where everyone else was. I wound up walking home all by myself and rather disappointed not only in my fellow San Franciscans for not showing up, but for the fact that Cindy didn't even have anyone waiting around to direct stragglers like me.
Cindy did just get the endorsement of SF's Green Party, however and has about 6 weeks to get the signatures necessary to get on the ballot. Best of luck, Cindy.

I have to disagree with something Randi just said on air. Credit card also make money on the transaction fee they charge merchants for processing credit card payments. For example, my company pays about $6,000 per month in fee to our bank to process about $100,000 in credit card sales.

Well... Guess I'm gonna make a donation to hillaryclinton.com dry.gif

There is truth in the statement that she did make Barack a stronger candidate, albeit he's in the GE

which wasn't her objective, but in the spirit of change, let's help pay off the vendor debt.

We have an election to win. Party unity. smile.gif

angry.gif This morning, I wake up and pick up the papers...The Houston Chronicle, NYT and WSJ. It's sunny, pleasant, smells fresh and clean after a rain last night, but there's a noted lack of humidity. I always read the Chronicle first as it's quick:)

Here are the Business headlines (some editing for humor):
1. Vietnam's leader will talk bidness--cotton, energy and airline leaders to meet with prime minister
2. The action is in Houston--energy industry draws attorney's interest (let's not forget lap dances and big lawsuits:)
3. Court affirms dropping 4 claims...Grasso (he really will get to keep all that money)
4. No relief expected soon for oil prices (really? what about more drilling? won't that work? you mean I have to sell my Tahoe? Wahhhhhhhhhh!
Turning inside:
1. Adelphia duo gets lighter sentence (we're sorry boys, you really are old and frail)

And the FRONT PAGE NEWS: Exxon Valdez Judgement Slashed...high court cuts punitive damages by 80%...this limits to the settlement to $15,500 per person for the 33,000 affected litigants.

Now I'm really in a bad mood. Do you think I'm too sensitive?
