Why does every insider seem to think that Minnesota is a purple state? Minnesota has been blue in every presidential elections since 1972 and only three times has it voted Republican since 1932. Overall, Obama has lead in Minnesota by double digits over McCain with the exception of a few polling services on a few occasions and earlier in the primary season. In my opinion, there is no way in HELL John McCain would be able to pull off an upset by winning Minnesota, unless he chose Minnesota Governor Tim "Partisan" Pawlenty as his running mate and even with him on the ticket, Minnesota would not be a slam dunk for McCain, Obama won the caucuses there with 66% and also, Tim Pawlenty barely won re-election in 2006.

Yep, now we just have to bring Oregon along. I see Washington is wavering as well. It's close, but Barack has a slight lead in both.

You gotta remember that the eastern halves of both Oregon and Washington are really just extensions of Idaho. angry.gif
