good for civil, it has a lower standard of proof and, I think, unanimity of verdict may not be required

good for criminal, we'd lock up the bastards (except you know they'll argue that you can't lock up a corporation)

good for civil, we don't need a politically positioned DA or AG to bring the action as we can do it ourselves

bad for criminal, pardons and high standard to obtain a guilty verdict

bad for civil, to the corp's, it's just another expense and although not a tax advantage (not deductable), they'll be able to bitch about it while hanging around the pool, making Maritinis
instead of at ClubFed...

Actually, trial by judge instead of by jury is a constitutional guarantee except for some of the more extreme cases.

Why is Randi and others going around saying that the Repugs made a mistake with this bill because it only provides for civil immunity? It was no mistake. The Telecoms are more afraid of Civil and feel safer fighting,if need be, a Criminal.. remember OJ...
