Amazing how well those "mean, aggressive" pitbulls get along so well with kitties isn't it.

Oh yeah, he's a real killer. He learned along time ago that when it comes to the house pecking order, it's the inside cats, the outside cat, the humans, then him.

Yeah I keep telling my dogs that the cats get to do whatever they want and the dogs have to learn to live with it. The rotts took exception to that rule, well except for Skye, she really liked the cats. The Golden Malamute is great with cats unless they bother her when she's eating.

Then again, I'm not all that good with the cats when they bother me while I'm eating........

Its funny to watch James try to groom her while she's trying to eat, but I have to watch them close because Grant and James seem to think they should be allowed to help the dogs eat their meal. I tried keeping them out of the room but they are a lot faster than I am and they run from under one couch to under the other so I can't catch them.

Damn kids. rolleyes.gif

Awesome work! ( I think this is one of the best shots in this thread! )

I've often thought about doing a shot similar to this.
First get the tired cat, add direct sun, then the bottles, then the smokes, then the stogie.. CLICK.
A lot of it has to do with the state of the mind of the cat.

Mow Wow Wow (if you could see inside her mind) Would look something like this:

As you can see Mow Wow Wow doesn't have time for cigarettes and beer.
It's all about getting down to business with Catnip, and she could be the most wasteful catnip user I ever seen in my life. If it ain't Catnip it's wheat grass, that cat is mostly vegetarian, goes nuts in the garden eating weeds.

Although when I took the photo it actually looked like this:

Still no time for vices.. Ahhh nips..
On the other hand, Jelly Bean might work for such a shot.
Believe it or not Jelly Bean doesn't like catnip, she's more fluffy and lazy:

I like the catnip more than she does.
Look Jelly Bean on the verge of being angry about it.

(Sorry about the quality on these I crunched them down too much..)

KEY WEST, Florida (AP) -- The famed six-toed cats at Ernest Hemingway's island home aren't going anywhere.
The home is where the Nobel prize-winning author wrote "For Whom the Bell Tolls" and "To Have and Have Not."

The Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum announced Thursday it reached an agreement with the federal government that lets the 50 or so cats continue roaming the grounds, ending a five-year battle that could have resulted in them being removed or caged.

The cats descend from a cat named "Snowball" given to the novelist in 1935 and freely wander the grounds of the Spanish colonial house. All the cats carry the gene for six toes, but not all show the trait.

The home is where the Nobel prize-winning author wrote "For Whom the Bell Tolls" and "To Have and Have Not" and is one of the most popular visitor attractions in the Florida Keys.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture confirmed the agreement. It had threatened to fine the museum $200 per day per cat -- about $10,000 -- saying it didn't have the proper animal exhibition license and couldn't qualify for one, primarily because the animals weren't enclosed. The museum has installed a fence to keep the animals on the one-acre property.
