Dogs are awesome, but if you make friends with a cat, you've earned something. Dogs give it away far too easily. Kinda like men that way you know. rolleyes.gif

The only real difference between dogs and cats is their personality. I had a dog with the best personality in the world, and a cat from hell that was the coolest thing ever. The dog was third in the world for stud dog at the time. He went to many shows and won. When he lost he would start talking in some weird doggy language and would be pulling on the lead, letting you know he had to do something. He would walk up to the judge and let loose this bunch of growling syllables and consonants and then turn around and scratch the ground and throw grass and dirt at the judge. Only then would he be ready to go home. One judge looked at him and said, "What a poor loser". The cat would attack everyone man and beast, it did not matter. They were both extremely intelligent and had personality to spare. It would be hard to pick between the two.

Heh...along these lines, I like to kid those that prefer dogs by saying that they appreciate blind loyalty more than independent thought biggrin.gif

"The cat lets Man support her. But unlike the dog, she is no handlicker. Furthermore, unlike Man's other great good friend the horse, the cat is no sweating serf of Man. The only labor she condescends to perform is to catch mice and rats, and that's fun." ~ Vance Packard

See someone who doesn't understand cats would ask "why is that cat up there?", but a cat lover would know why... smile.gif

Seriously, cats like being in high places. There is more security, it gives them a heads up on their foes (makes them more intimidating, the same reason they "puff up" their fur) and, well, they can!

Mine have discovered the top of the fridge. Nothing is safe any longer.

and why is it, no matter where they are, when you shoe them off they always have to clean off everything up there before they jump. rofl.gif

Its important that we understand they are getting down because THEY want to, not because WE told them to.

Cats are perpetual teenagers.

Yes, yes you could but that's beside the point. You might not get the look of disdain you got with the cats though.

I will leave items in aisle ways to avoid getting behind someone writing a check! But, like the driver who must pull out in front of me and then drive 5 miles below the speed limit, I always manage to get behind the person who not only will write a check, but must pay for those 5 items with cash and those 3 items with food stamps or a credit card.

And of course because its a smaller Krogers and is located near a retirement community, that person will be 97 years old and look like they are practicing Tai Chi while removing and replacing necessary items from their wallet.

Of course this will be in the only cash register open in the entire store because this Kroger's only needs one register open most of the time.
