Full Version: So? Obama is more religious than McPain

It's because McCain is attached to the hip of Bush and Cheney. Shhhhh, it's a secret, but McPain is so stupid he thought Hagee was cool and Parsley was cool, and then he goes to pay a visit to Billy Graham for some cred.

McPain sold his soul years ago. Obama has the religious aspect sewed up, and 90% of Americans are religious.

Why is it that every politician must act like they are more religious than the other? All I want is for someone to say "I'll keep government out of your place of worship, and keep religion out of government." Who cares who is more religious really?

It's good politically, and Obama is an honest politician.

And it doesn't hurt that he really believes, unlike the phoneys we've had to put up with the last 7 years.

I agree with you, I just wish it weren't so. But I think it is such a personal thing.

Well, I think Obama, unlike others, is firmly grounded in the Constitution.

Yes it is personal. AND personally, I would prefer another route for this too, since religion has been so twisted by the money-evangelists, and want to blur the separation of church and state so badly. Hopefully, the money preachers will be taken over and pushed out by the new generation that seem a bit more true to the real message of their faith.

Agreed. I am encouraged by the new wave of environmentalism seen in religion these days.

Yes!! Have you seen the reports on Moyers? I was very encouraged by that. Where else have you heard of this?

They seem to value the earth as sacred now, and are not fearful and scared (the old Puritan history).

Run'em outta town:

Randi is right, how do we distinguish who is okay and who is not, or should we be in that sort of business. The fellas above have already been marginalized.

Perhaps faith based money could come from our income tax returns, like voluntarily checking off a dollar or two for federal elections. Could be better than the bureacracy that is set up right now. And just divide all the monies to whomever qualifies for the money - ministries who minister to poverty.

Obama IS going to have a poverty program? Perhaps THAT should be the program he should focus on instead of the faith based.

Just thinking out loud. Escuse me.

Don't think we can start from scratch unless faith based programs are a complete disaster such as with tracking etc.

We've only seen the tip of the iceberg and it could get alot worse the way the economy's going.

I disagree. These 'infiltrators' are involved in an COMMUTARIAN OBJECTIVE. Using dumbed-down, faith-based congregations is an old disguised SOVIET PROGRAM.

In the UK, the infiltrators are called "Common Purpose".(see this video: LINK )

In the US, it's called 'Commutarian Network'. This process, being infiltrated by 'faith-based orgs', 'neighborhood communities', and 'UN based' education programs. (See this video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=bPW5rC-chDU)
