Let's give a shout out for our nation's educators.
Let's hope we get an administration for whom a real education policy is important, more beyond lots of mind-numbing standardized testing and forcing teachers to teach to the test.
Too many children's behinds have been left. We can do better.

I hear McSame wants to re-educate the jobless for the new jobs of tomorrow. Perhaps the cash registers of tomorrow will still need people, at home depot, they do not. What now Mr. Senator, what jobs will we do? Perhaps the ones that we would not do before, that we did before? I feel there are jobs in Washington that Americans will not do like, President, Vice President, Secretary of you name it, House speaker, Majority house leader, ect. Perhaps some education could possibly change this horrible reality Mr. Senator.
With a 10 trillion dollar deficit, disbandment of the Constitution, California could very well become a sovern nation.

I have a friend / colleague who is at the convention. I am awaiting to here what he has to say. They are very busy up there and working really hard.
READ OBAMA'S book (if you have it on CD he talks about education at the start of CD #4)...it's a must listen!

That's right, education is key. It can help with crime and poverty just for starters.
The NEA has 3.3 million members and they endoresed Obama. They want a major overhaul of NCLB, they want to teach kids how to problem solve and they want to expand the curriculum from just math and reading.
Their new president is Dennis Van Roekel, and was on the Journal this morning.

NCLB (No Child's Behind Left) really needs to be re-vamped.....funding it would be great. It just floors me that this UNFUNDED mandate causes so much havoc. Teach to the test...Teach to the test...Teach to the test.
