One. Although the person I have blocked I belive is very bright, he/she has been quite malicious towards me. Is this the true nature of this person? I don't know. I wish them peace.

None so far with the new board, but I admit...there are a couple of contenders.
I'll give them a couple more posts and then I'll kneecap 'em. (Using the ignore function of course.)

Though Mods have begged me to employ this feature, and I have often wished I did use it, if I cannot read the ravings of idiots, I cannot correct them.
Thus I would fail to be my brother's keeper.

I can't claim to love Jesus and then turn around and ignore my brother when he needs me the most, now can I? Such is the hypocrisy I claim to loath.

You misunderestimate the true use of the ignore list. It isn't to actually ignore, its to prevent me from posting a response to someone who really just wants to argue with every word in anyone's reply.
Some people are just not worth responding to and with the number of people on this board, it is sometimes hard to remember who they are until its too late and you're already "engaged" in "conversation."

Maybe, but if they get too loud then the mods make them get less loud again.
Ignoring is the best alternative to doing something stupid and getting yourself in trouble because the other person just rubs you the wrong way. It takes discipline to ignore someone too because they will still be quoted by others. You don't totally get away from what they are saying when you put them on ignore, you have to actively work at ignoring them even when they do say something that drives you insane.

Sometimes it's better not to read things that set you off, or if you know a certain person pushes your buttons you might put them on your list. I actually expected things to be much worse giving amnesty to formerly banned members but actually it hasn't been that bad. These days when some people try to defend the Bush Administration and the Republican Party they just sound desperate and pathetic.
I'm looking for retribution for the war crimes that have been committed. Justice must prevail.
