............Barack Obama
Right now he is beginning to alienate a lot of his core of voters, his base, with some of the things he is saying and the reversal of some of his positions. And, he needs to stop saying nice things about McCain's military service, too.
Right now if he wants to see his biggest enemy, all he has to do is look in the mirror.
To all of us who might be getting a little worried and upset about some of Obama's recent statements I would suggest checking out the views of his closest advisors. I have been catching quite a bit of their participation on panels dealing with national security, the economy, constitutional rights. Iraq, Iran, etc. vs. the neo nuts and I have no doubt that Obama is the real deal. Let's not confuse the Obama campaign being smart enough to not get painted into untenable positions based on sound bites. I would suggest to everybody to try to catch some C-SPAN. That is where you can actually get "spin free" and in depth discussions by the experts on both sides of the issues. Their website is really easy to navigate and you can watch replays of televised events from earlier in the day or week on your computer, or you can get their podcast. Thank goodness for C-SPAN
Does anyone actually think that Obama is going to take the oath of office and morph into Bush the 1st, or perhaps Nixon? Of course not. We are in the midst of the most important election in the past 100 years, at least, and it's not going to be easy or pretty. IMO, our job now is to question, but also to keep our powder dry and continue our support of Obama until or unless he does something lose our support.
Peace
