I can't find the original thread on this, so I thought I'd start another.
I saw Hancock. I'm sooooo disappointed. It was ok, but not great, for about 45 min. Then it completely went off the rails and they couldn't figure out what to do for the last 40 min of the movie.

I've been watching Weeds Season 2....great show!

I find it difficult to actually get to the movies, so from time to time I rent a DVD or watch one of mine. The last movie I watched on PPV was "27 Dresses". Cute.

I tend to fall asleep. sad.gif

I LOVE Weeds! Hubby and I started watching it about a month ago and have caught all the way up to season 4. Awesome show!

Word on Weeds, one of the very few episodic series on the hypno-box we await with eager anticipation.

The old movie thread, for cross-referential archival linkage.

In episode 3 when we again saw Celia in jail....

....I thought I was gonna die laughing. Her cellmate had her all low-rider'd up. Sausage curls and lip liner by a black "Sharpie".

Too, too funny. laugh.gif

I'm watching the entire Season Two of the original 60's Outer Limits.

Some of the plots are simple and some of them are possibly too complex and thought-provoking for today's audiences.

The episode Behold Eck! was poignant and relevant to our times, in that the ignorant try to destroy what they refuse to understand, and that the courage of ONE individual can save the ignorant from self-destruction.

I also liked Duplicate Man, which offered for discussion the "alien" species that reasons with great intellect, yet whose sole purpose in life was to kill indiscriminately. Very layered plot. Methinks the author was handing us a mirror.

The twin episodes The Inheritors nearly brought tears to my eyes - again, the ignorant must be painfully brought to understanding in order to survive, and how the least of us have great value in other perspectives - I heartily recommend this extended episode starring Robert Duvall, Steve Ihnat and James Shigeta.

The episode Counterweight starring Michael Constantine shows us how undisciplined and unprepared human nature is for realities and how greed releases deep emotion like a drug or alcohol.

Just started watching Demon With a Glass Hand written by Harlan Ellison and starring Robert Culp. As good or better than anything they make today.

Me and the wife went to see Hancock as well. I enjoyed it. My wife was confused by the surprising twist in the middle of the movie and stated she will want to watch it again when it comes out on DVD so that she can figure out what happened.

Anyone seen the "Taken" mini series that premiered on the SCI-FI channel a few years back. It was done by Steven Spielberg and I just can't stop rewatching it (about every six months I run through it again).

Sorry for the double post. I had an antivirus scan going that took over my machine while trying to edit my post.

I noticed I forgot to mention the mini-series was an Alien abduction type story line. Very good if you are into that kind of genre.

Good pick!!! I met Chuck when I was around 8 years old, near his home outside Wentzville, MO.

I was riding my bicycle down Buckner Road(same road as Chuck's house/farm). He pulled up in his Caddy and started talking. He asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. I told him, "I wanna be a rock and roll star, just like you". He laughed.
30 years later, I got the chance to talk with him again. He remembered me.

And the Jesus Bobble Head doll was recording her the whole time!!

Albert Brooks makes me laugh just by walking into the room....he's hysterical.
