This week FISA comes up in the Senate and while it will include Immunity for Telecoms it will not include immunity for the US Government. A case is proceeding in California where the plaintiff is suing the US Government for spying on their charity group. The Judge is allowing the case to move ahead stating that The President MUST GET A WARRANT under FISA because The President is not above the law.
Our veterans are turning to drugs and suicide. They can’t come back from this war. They may be here but they’re still at war.

FLIP FLOPS or SOMETHING
McCain flip flops like a fish out of water
For a GI bill before he was against it
Against tax cuts before he was for them
Against off shore drilling before he was for it
Against torture before he was for it
For Campaign Finance Reform until he was against it
For Public Financing before he was Against Public Financing before he was for it
Immigration Reform
Gay Marriage
Overturning Roe v Wade
Iraq would be easy
But Obama reiterates his positions on religion, FISA, brining our troops home in a careful manner and suddenly he’s moved to the RIGHT? What? The media repeats it and now guess what? You think it’s true. It’s not.

Admiral Mullen at The Heritage Foundation – The next attack will come from Afghanistan/Pakistan
Afghanistan and Pakistan
I don't like to even bring up Afghanistan without talking about Pakistan, because I think they're linked, and I think we need to make sure our strategy includes not just Afghanistan but also Pakistan. We have a heavy focus on the FATA (Federally Administered Tribal Areas), and I think that's right. Clearly, if I were going to pick a place where the next attack is going to come from, that's where al-Qaeda is, and we're going to need to figure out a way to resolve that challenge.

So What Was Up In Columbia?
John McCain makes a strangely irregular high campaign season detour to Columbia...and we get the heroic rescue of captured Americans. Fox News hints it was planned. Liberal bloggers....and the McCain Campaign....say hogwash. The story dies in the holiday weekend news cycle. Pure coincidence? Or was this a Rovian style 'test case' in how to manipulate national security events to benefit Gramps?
