I saw Debbie Reynolds live in Chicago back in the 70s.

That's the extent of my stardom besides seeing Eric Clapton in concert twice.

Mrs. Hart! With a parrot on her bean! Whoo-hoo-, hopla, hoo-ray!
(She can sing too. Stefanie Powers has a very nice, trained voice).

Now, about that parrot....

Hey, I met her not too many years back! I was invited to the opening of a new Mann theater. She was married to the now-late Ted Mann. She was still built like the proverbial...

She was very involved at the time in a really interesting program developing prosthetic devices, primarily for cancer survivors, and developing a retail program to sell them. She also developed a chain of retail shops called "Port o' Call" that basically sold a lot of crap out of their mall locations that people might buy if they traveled to India, China, Thailand, etc. as much as Fleming and Mann did.

We had both fled to a quiet corner because we'd decided we didn't much like anyone who was at the do, I didn't have a clue who she was, and we ended up talking a lot that night, and have run into each other a couple of times since then. Not for at least five years though. I huess I should run over to IMDB and see if she's still with us. Anyway, she was a doll and he was an asshole.

IMHO, this is the greatest John Wayne movie. What a great cast too!

Jon Stewart and the Daily Show reported tonight on the day's events with regard to gay marriage in California, in particular covering a Jewish ceremony between two women, and in the process Stewart did hit on one serious concern that has obviously escaped notice previously, a threat even "evolved," "enlightened" and "open-minded" liberals should face up to.

Hadn't we better give some serious thought to the prospect of a child being being raised by TWO Jewish mothers?
Stoon
From How to be a Jewish Mother.

Exercise.

Give your son Marvin two sweaters. The first time he wears one of them, say in your basic Jewish Mother tone of voice "The other one you didn't like?"
