TODAYS’ GUEST CONGRESSMAN ROBERT WEXLER (Hour 2)
House Judiciary Committee
What happened to Florida’s delegates and Karl Rove. If he won’t testify before the House Judiciary Committee there will be a subpoena and if he fails to show up we’ll hold him in Contempt”
WATCH CONGRESSMAN WEXLER LAST NIGHT:

Hillary hit the Network News circuit to celebrate her BIG WIN in West Virginia, and just as she completed the rounds…Hillary Who?
John Edwards flew to Grand Rapids Michigan yesterday to formally endorse Barack Obama. Obama is finally getting a chance to meet the people of Michigan since he was banned from campaigning there during the Primary. Nice gift he brought with him! And really great timing.
In an interview with Politico, President Bush was crazier than usual. Claiming he played his last game of golf in August 2003 because he wanted to share the sacrifices being made by our soldiers and their families the President quit PLAYING GOLF? And if that isn’t the sickest definition of a bloody oil wartime sacrifice ever - IT ISN’T EVEN TRUE!
WATCH:
http://cosmos.bcst.yahoo.com/up/player/pop...98&src=newsBush also claimed that “people told him that there were Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq” so he doesn’t feel he was was misled but he does feel Congress is hiding their votes for the war?
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0508/10314.htmlCBS News has a report of Bush playing Golf in October of 2003
http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20080513/pl_af...lf_080513212030In August of 2003 Bush suffered a minor muscle tear in his right calf and that injury, along with aching knees, forced him to abandon his running routine. The calf strain healed by August when he had his annual physical, but the president said in September that he suspected he had a meniscus tear. Geezus.
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2003/12/17/...ain589203.shtmlRepublicans are terrified. They keep LOSING House seats because Americans want CHANGE and that means ANYTHING THAT’S NOT A REPUBLICAN.
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/05/15/us/politics/15repubs.htmlOn April 20th David Barstow on the NY Times wrote a stunning expose in the NY Times about the propaganda machine that Donald Rumsfeld was running out of the Pentagon and right onto your TV to make you think THINGS like “we have to fight them there or we’ll have to fight them here” or that the “war was winnable” and that inadequate body armor for our troops was ok.
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/04/20/washington/20generals.htmlBut now there’s Audio of one of the Liquid Lunches Rumsfeld would host with these “military analysts” so you can hear for yourself how Rumsfeld manipulated the message on Iraq. Rummy believed that Americans are weak because they refuse to be scared. The “correction” for this weakness according to DH Rumsfeld is another attack on the US.

Can't call you from work.
I'll have to do it when I have a day off.
I should have called you when you were still in New York.
I could have got you to stop by the Bodega and get me a regular coffee and a toasted corn muffin.
But now I suppose you could get me one of those Cuban sandwiches and some of that really strong Cuban coffee.

Dear Randi, Sister from another mother, Flatbush Avenue. Short time, first time. CA blood, Brooklyn soul. I truly apologize for not doing my research before posting this. Two things: I really want to hear what you think about the idea that the gridlock, for lack of a better phrase to turn, RE the Dem.Nat'l. Candidate, might not be so much about who "America does want," but rather an imago of the Bobby Kennedy tragedy, as in, "Whom America Would Less Prefer Be Shot"? It seems, in this miasma of disinfo and disenfranchising, that maybe, just maybe, the bulk of "undecideds" also remember Korea, also remember, the exit strategy RE WWII, and remember most of all the dreadful fates/failures peculiar to the vetted Kennedy (John, Robert, Edward, John III . . . )- the type, even archetype, if you will, that Obama supporters and believers appear to see in Barack. I'm totally not saying I do not see the Distinguished Gentleman, I just do not want to see him shot. Nor do I want to see a mother shot. Nor do I want to see anyone shot, it's too much blood, it's enough! And no, I am not trying to incite conspiracy, I have literally been worried about this prospect since the tortoise-race began, and I want to know, from you, from everyone, does the attempted assassination of the eventual (Obama) democratic candidate seem altogether unlikely, or maybe possibly all too likely? I dunno. That's why I'm registered as of today on your boards and asking all- is it really such a farfetched thing to fret about? And second- since it wastes airtime and can be . . . a bit embarrassing, please let me say that I started listening right around the time you had to get the hell out of Dodge, and your passion was clear but not so cogent. Way to turn it around and improve and excel in 4 days! I write for TV, and you have to know how hard all the "industry" stuff is. And your performance, even on the occassions I disagree, has been nothing short of superior. Mazel tov, and Kudos, and keep it up. And thank you.
Much love,
-ladyanjen

The Bush quote came from William Edgar Borah was a Republican U.S. senator from Idaho for 33 years, best known for his major role at the end of World War I (1918) in preventing the United States from joining the League of Nations and the World Court.
And, Bush lifted it from Rumsfeld from 2006
"There was a strange innocence in views of the world. Someone recently recalled one U.S. Senator's reaction in September 1939, upon hearing that Hitler had invaded Poland to start World War II. He exclaimed:
"Lord, if only I could have talked with Hitler, all this might have been avoided."
Think of that!
I recount this history because once again we face the same kind of challenges in efforts to confront the rising threat of a new type of fascism."

Perino: Bush’s Comments Were Not ‘Aimed’ At Obama, But Do ‘Include’ Himhttp://thinkprogress.org/2008/05/15/perino-obama-appease/ During today’s press gaggle, reporters pressed White House Spokeswoman Dana Perino about President Bush’s comments implying that Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) and Democrats favor a policy of appeasement toward terrorists. Perino denied that Bush was taking aim directly at Obama, stating that presidential candidates often believe “the world revolves around you.”
However, she wouldn’t refute that his comments were meant to include the senator:
Q: But, so, not aimed at him — do they include him?
PERINO: He’ll have to speak for himself as to what his policy is and you guys can know it well. This was a speech that the President gave to the Knesset. And this is not a new statement by President Bush. This is long-established United States policy, so it should come as no surprise that President Bush suggests that we should not be talking with these people.
Perino’s comments contradict what Bush administration aides are admitting privately. As CNN’s Ed Henry reported earlier today:
White House aides are acknowledging that this was a reference to the fact that Sen. Obama and other Democrats have publicly said that it would be ok for the U.S. President to meet with leaders like the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad.
NBC’s John Yang also said that a White House official told him that Bush’s comments were aimed not only at Obama, but at former President Jimmy Carter and his suggestion that the United States talk with Hamas.

Tis true these Bushies are appeasers in every way - always on the wrong side of America. Who knows the truth.
And this appeaser talk is just an excuse to cover up the fact that Bush doesn't believe in diplomacy. They believe in shock and awe first, then don't ask questions later, then to bomb again, still no questions - bomb again. Just so we are still making bombs. And who makes the bombs?

Did any of you listen to the "Liquid Lunch" clips? Oh man, hearing the last clip, where Rumsfeld says he figures the only correction for our apathy is another terrorist attack

he said it in such a resigned way - NOT saying they are planning one, but man, it was just a "HUHHHH??????" moment.
