I think they will be -- and they'll be very enthusiastic. They do not want to see McCain in the White House. They know they have the power to prevent that.

MHO: from my observation, there are PUMAs who will try some kind of stunt at the convention, and will not back down until her name is on the ticket -- if not at the top, then at the bottom.

Meanwhile, by picking Biden, Obama gave them the closest thing to what most of them wanted, other than that he's a man and he's not Hillary.

She says she's not going to accept any maneuvering on her behalf and will even have "whips" at the convention to keep the PUMAs in line. I say good for her.

I'm really tired of watching the amateur punditocracy second-guess her to Sunday.

Don't know. Curious how many "REpublican Agents" will be fomenting discord about this.

I'm sure that's what they're hoping for. And I suspect things have been worked out about the Clntons' involvement both in the convention and the campaign. What a lot of critics -- and maybe us -- don't seem to realize -- and maybe I'm hopelessly spinning this -- is that things won't really get going until after the conventions. I think Obama's been holding back the ammo a little. Good strategy.

A few months ago, my in laws were visiting - wife's mid 70s ex Navy father and Japanese mother. Their vote boiled down to this, as expressed by her mother ...

They didn't especially want to vote for Obama, perhaps partly for race. They felt a WHITE MAN should be President and felt Obama would be assassinated. They didn't like crazy McCain. So much of their vote depended on his VP choice. If not a white man, their vote would have gone to McCain. Now, I guess they'll be voting Obama, for the wrong reasons.

So... Biden isn't going to undergo a sex change to appease the Pro-Hillary PUMA's? laugh.gif

I think something will happen there and I think she's trying to orchestrate it, but in a good way. I think the pundits will be surprised.

I agree with you. Obama is shrewd and smart. I'm sure he'll be offering the Clintons something good, for the sake of party unity, and to appease the Clintons.

True. I do wish she would stop referring to him as "my opponent." I also think she needs to come at the PUMA types stronger. If she plans on running later she can win without the PUMA types, she cannot win if the non-PUMAs think she is soft peddling. She said she has done more for her "opponent" than anybody in the past. However, she attacked her democratic opponent more vociferously then anybody in my past.
