I get emails from a friend who has been a right winger for years. He was a democrat a long time ago. Now he's disgusted with the current Bush admin but is not quite sold on Obama. Yes, a swing voter. He sends me emails of stuff right wingers get and asks me questions that I can't always answer with certainty. One example, today he sent me this email with a link to an anti-Obama blog supposedly written by a staunch Hillary supporter.

What do I do with this? What can I tell him or point him to in order to clear this up? I can't find anything addressing Obama's citizenship on Obama's site. I just told him how ridiculous this scrutiny has gotten over a black presidential candidate.

So far, according to his past emails he has shared with me: Obama is a racist, elitist, undercover Muslim who goes to a racist church, bought his home from a criminal, wants revenge for slavery and was born in another country and has phoney birth papers. We have been sparring for the last 6 months and the emails only get uglier (the ones he forwards to me, not his). He is actually becoming curious about the other side, but I guess his fears are like most on the right.
