Oh, Jencom...I really feel for you. I'm older, not quite elderly, but I'm totally ready to turn this government over to a new generation that will hopefully make the changes we so desperately need. I do think of my kids, who are your age, and what their futures hold for them if the U.S. keeps following these criminals currently in power. I'm so sorry that your folks are voting for McCain out of fear. Maybe you'll be able to talk them down and into voting for your future.
Thank you. Believe me when I say I try everyday and will continue until it's time for them to punch that card. I just don't understand it. My folks are like so many others out there. In their 70's, struggling on a fixed income and dealing with the NIGHTMARE of the MediCare. I keep thinking "what more do you have to lose????".
Even worse is that their generation actually votes. Mine likes to talk about it, but on that day, where are they? Getting coffee, running errands, at the office? Not voting. You know, they have "better" things to do.
I'm so frustrated with where we are. And I see that we are so close to a real change...yet so far away.
I just hope others like you Easilyannoyed are thinking about the long term effects. Thank you for doing so.
