The bus in which John McCain’s brain trust circles the country on the campaign trail should rightfully be named the K-Street Talk Express, not the Straight Talk Express. After all, virtually every voice that has McCain’s ear comes from the infamous Washington K Street Republican-only lobbying stronghold or the influence peddling entities spawned from there under the twisted reign of disgraced former Republican US House Majority Leader Tom Delay.
Just look at the list of lobbyists paid six and seven-figure fees by foreign governments and corporate interest groups that McCain has surrounded himself with:
-Charlie Black - Blackwater, Phillip Morris, Lockheed Martin, Occidental Petroleum, JP Morgan Chase
-John Green - Pfizer, Ameriquest Mortgage, the Carlyle Group, American Petroleum Group
-Thomas Loeffler - Saudi Arabia, the state of Hidalgo, Mexico
-Peter Madigan - the government of Columbia, the United Arab Emirates
-John Timmons - National Association of Broadcasters, News Corp., Time Warner
-Randy Scheunemann - the Republican of Georgia, the National Rifle Association
Clearly McCain’s agenda prioritizes preserving corporate authority over the direction of the United States. Sometimes I wonder if he should just nominate a lobbyist for VP and cut out the middleman. It’s time the nation grew up and looked past the corporate media’s concoction of McCain aggrandizement and saw the man for what his goals are. It’s time people looked at McCain and the influence peddlers above and ask themselves, “Who among these people influencing McCain has my best interests at heart? Just who will McCain look out for, huge corporations or me?” If America finally looks out for its true interests, McCain should lose every state.
Thanks Randi for putting up the Daily Koz's data that the above was drawn from. It is with your help that all of us are finally connecting all the dots.
