I like the hardness of the ripping manic guitar as well as the next girl, but, I need all the music.

Roberta Flack's, Killing Me Softly

Stevie Wonder's Sunshine

Elton John's Goodbye Yellow Brick Road

Streisand (enough said)

Bette Middler's

Barry Manilow (eh, no to Oh, Mandy)

and the list is endless.

Then after the 70's Madonna was borne upon the scene, and the rest, as they say a new age was upon us. biggrin.gif

BTW Randi mentioned "Celebrate Me Home" at the top of the show.

An old favorite of mine from Kenny Loggins... I always get this strange desire to hear it around The Holidays...

Yeah, didn't Johann even play it? Nope, it was September, by Earth Wind and Fire. I own the blue sailing album (can't remember the title) by Loggins and Messina. Anyway, maybe she really doesn't totally dislike the 70's, really.

I have really enjoyed the convention band. But I'm not there, so I don't really know what's what.

Now, if they would play some Heart music, that would make a certain someone happy, or, of course, Melissa. We've still got Gore coming up on the schedule. smile.gif

Now, tonight, with Hillary, they should play the Maniac song. biggrin.gif KIDDDINGGGGG!!!

There you go again, Roy. smile.gif Ahhhh, Songbird. (And McVie, the forgotten one.)

I do love Stevie too, though. wub.gif She's very engaging - a temptress. Oh, and talented.

I love the music.

I espically cant wait to hear the jitterbug played after John McCain gives his speech.

I think we sould start a drinking game for the GOP convention.

Every time McCain says "My Friends" you take a shot

Every time Mc Cain says "POW" you take two shots

Every time Mc Cain says "Obama" you take a swig of beer.

Together was can get through the GOP convention.

Ohhh lets not forget the white hot spark the the Beach Boys will add to the convention. Thats the music all the kids are listening to these days.

xoxoxoxo to all

Could relate. But it was cool when they played "Wish You Were Here" the other day on the show. Hits on alot of levels right now.

Wish You Were Here

And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts
Hot ashes for trees
Hot air for a cool breeze
Cold comfort for change
And did you exchange a walk-on part in the war for a lead role in a cage

How I wish, how I wish you were here
We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year
Running over the same old ground
What have we found
The same old fears

Wish you were here

smile.gif I agree. I loved Stevie too. My fantasy: an acoustic duet with both of them. smile.gif

Drinking game!! To get us through the republican circus!! Yes!!

That's a deal and I will hold you to it and hunt you down if you don't show. tongue.gif I have to stick to the red wine though - I am an elitist in that respect - he he he. Whatever.

Hasn't McPain corrupted that word, "friends?" He's just like W. in that regard. Despicable. What he's really thinking when he says, my friends, is my "my victims." grrrrrr

So relevant. The Floyd always. Randys, our moderator here is an expert on the Floyd, btw. Much more so than me.
