It's so funny that Randi's talking about how she can't call it "Invesco" and she will always call it "Mile High."
I used to live in Denver (and am thinking about moving back).
A friend I have from there just sent me (yesterday) one of those, "you know you're from Colorado if" emails... and in it it says:
"**You don't care that some company renamed it, the Broncos still play at Mile High**"
It's SO true!!

I have the same reaction with the "Key (as in Key Bank) Arena" in Seattle.
I hate it when the name the facility after some corporate sponsor who didn't fully finance the stupid building anyways, so the taxpayers had to pick up the tab on the cost over-runs during construction/renovation.....
Pay for the WHOLE thing, THEN you get to name it after yourself. Otherwise, the city should name it something emblematic of the region.
And having been born in the Colorado, yeah, it's Mile High Stadium.

I've never even been to Denver and it's still Mile High to me :-) Around here, the new Lincoln Financial Field is still known as The Vet, even though they imploded it four years ago. Good news: no rats !

Similarly, my father always insisted that we call it "Boulder Dam" vs. "Hoover Dam." The Great Depression wasn't something one forgot.

In Dallas, the place where the Texas Rangers play is still called, "The Ballpark."
No one even knows what company bought the rights. I think it was Americquest or something at some point, but NO ONE EVER called it that. EVERYONE has ALWAYS called it "The Ballpark."

It's still Mile-High Stadium to me...And I'm an Oakland Raiders Fan

On the other hand, I like my brother's name for Coors Field...Williamsport, PA. Home of the Little League World Series.
