k.
i didn't fill it out on the last board so i'll make amends here, maybe.
i am this chick who tries.
THERE! i said it.
my main concern is the environment, as if we can't get it right, none of this (politics)
will matter really.
i am a freak in my land, as my mom even stated "you were a strange child" , and in east TN
i consider that a complement as i have yet to stray fr4om that analysis throughout my life here.
i guess i stick around here in the hopes that i might change the ignorance and the opinions of others.
dunno.
i'm here, i'm loud, and hopefully i make people think, at least a little.
for our kids even.
love to all, even if you lack common sense.

I'm new here and also to bulletin boards. Please take a listen to the first two songs on the link below. The first is "I'm Bushed" and is intended to provide motivation to Congress to begin impeachment hearings. The second is entitled "Pushin' Back The Lies" and attempts to speak to the damage being done by big corporate politics, and how, just maybe, the right man and right woman make be able to make a little light.

Hi, I'm new hear but by no means new to Randi's show. I'm a BIG Obama supporter but having trouble convincing my 85 year old father that Obama is ready to lead. I almost fell on the floor when my dad told me he thinks that McCain knows he has to change things because the country is in such bad shape. It's fortunate for me that my dad couldn't see me roll my eyes when he said that!

Welcome CK!!!
My dad is 80 and he thinks that McCain is way too old to be Pres. He thinks that there is no way that a 72 year old is capable of dealing with the demands of the job. Plus he thinks McCain's an imbicle... he says silly old fool. Send your dad my link.

I've got a father in-law who is, at 74, sharp as a tack, very disciplined, ex military, business whiz, and someone for whom I have enormous respect. I didn't want to rely on stereotypes, assumptions and my own misconceptions, so I flat-out asked him whether he thinks a 72 year old - ANY 72 year old, of any party - is appropriate to serve as President.
He said he thought 72 was the outside edge of what MIGHT be workable, perhaps in the last year of a presidency. But he thinks being 72-73 heading into office would be stupidity on a stick.

Hi all!
I'm a 26 year retired Army veteran. I listened to Randi a few years back on XM Radio; I like her intellect and style. Unfortunately the local affiliate station is just out of reception range (Chapel Hill, NC). I'll try to keep up with the message boards as best I can.

Hi my name is Kate... I'm a video artist
http://www.youtube.com/user/kateslateforever2My videos are not usually political, but more artist and hopefully fun. There are enough political videos and too many evil ditto heads on youtube.
I support Randi, because it was the best show on Air America and my favorite hands down. But alas, those of us who tell it like it is are not well looked upon. I was a radio jock in college and was booted off two radio stations. So I know! There aren't enough shows out there like Randi's so I give full props!

I am a long time listener that adores Randi. I trust her knowledge of the issues because she is willing to admit when she has given incorrect information and then correct it. I am currently enjoying being out of work after working straight for the past 18 years. I am interested in the protection of the environment, our liberties and our MEDIA! Randi is one of those courageous Americans that back up her duty of being an American with action. Thank you Randi for you courage, intelligence, hard work and commitment.

We have a lot of new members coming on, in addition to the old members. Here's a spot where new and old can get to know each other.
This is Ike. Another member invited me to this board. I'm retired and live in the desert where I've spent most of my life.

Hello and welcome to all newbies. I hope ya'll have a good time here as we all do. You'll make new friends that you never thought you'd make. The best part is you can speak your mind within reason, but we handle things here as adults, not anonymous children fighting in the schoolyard. Happy times here.

glad to be here.

Howdy! It's nice to be able to access the board again, with a computer that works.
I'm in Chicago, and a proud supporter of Barack Obama...he's been a righteous representative for us in the State Legislature and in the Senate.
Those who say he has no experience or done nothing while serving the citizens of Illinois are full of crap or haven't bothered to read the record...quite probably both.

Some old RRMBers may remember me. I live in Northeast Ohio, where we no longer have Randi's show or any liberal talk stations.
I was there as a national listener on day one, and was hooked from the Nader interview. I listened a lot when Randi was on here, but have strayed somewhat...I do check in from time to time, online or via XM.
I heard Randi's first Nova M show, and sensed that she was both home (WPB) and much happier.
I'm mostly remembered on the old RRMB for chiming in with various radio-related things. Somewhere, the producer of a certain show produced in North Dakota stlll remembers tangling with me here...

Hooray! I was on Randi's "other" website and she managed to keep my ID intact! I'm a native American and a native Texan, a life-long Democrat, and I just wrote a note to my state Senatorial District telling them to "Remember the Alamo" -- never retreat, never surrender. The McLuhanesque assigning of "blue" to the Democrats in the 80s did not paint Texas "red" permanently (even though it is a more exciting color on television), and I'm hoping many people will vote who never voted before.
I'm also hoping that the 50-state strategy will include Texas. We helped put this ding-bat in Our White House; we must make amends.
Other than that, I'm fortunate enough to live in Austin. It's very far from perfect, but if you're gonna be stuck in Texas, it's the best place to be.
Oh, my name is David Roland Strong; I was born on Thanksgiving Day in Big Spring, Texas in 1951; my father is a retired Methodist minister and my mother is a retired public school teacher; I went to Rice; President Kennedy was assassinated on my 12th birthday; I'm in a handful of videos on YouTube that have nothing to do with politics (I enjoy acting).
If there's anything else you want to know, you can look for me on MySpace, Facebook, Flickr; or, you might just sit back and wonder why you're so interested all of a sudden.
Peace!

Hi I am Luissa from Washington and my mom got me started on Randi! I am tired of the Bush years and don't want four more years of the Christian right telling us how to believe and how to live. I don't believe they should teach creationism in public schools especially when evolution has been proven true. I think I dislike Sara Palin more then I do John McCain. I am for stem cell research and I am Pro Choice! And I can't wait to hear what you all have to say!

Howdy. I'm Rex from Los Angeles, where I catch Randi whenever I can on KTLK.
Years ago, in the early days of the internets, I was a message-board-posting junkie, but eventually cured myself of that affliction. However, like a reformed-nicotine addict (I've been one of those too), who craves a smoke whenever times get stressful (like they are now), I'm craving a good message-board. So here I am.

I'm a 23 year old woman, born and raised in New Orleans, but have recently moved to Northwest Arkansas (long story there). I miss New Orleans dearly for many reasons and also because it was a little easier meeting some open minded individuals with whom I could hold an intellectual conversation. I have always had with an open mind consisting of liberal viewpoints, despite being raised by my extremely conservative, religious, and rather racist parents. I graduated from LSU, sourounded by conservatives, and continue to stick out like a sore thumb here in Bentonville, Arkansas...hometown of Wal-Mart.
I received a B.S. in Psychology in 2007 and went on to teach in the public school system in New Orleans last year. I am currently an Admissions Coordinator at a small career college in Bentonville.
I've had the pleasure of listening to Randi for about 3 years via XM radio! I never thought I'd be such an eager listener of talk tadio, but she is so enjoyable and dead on with her points that I became hooked the first time I heard her on my way home from class one afternoon! Unfortunately, I haven't been able to listen much since moving to Arkansas because of my new job which requires me working later into the evening. Once I get my laptop fixed, I will be signing up for the podcasts so that I can keep up with Randi's shows, because I'm having bad withdrawals!

New Guy, old Listener. Passion is all, and Character is Fate. Some observations about Caribou Barbie's character.
Fact: Every native born Alaskan gets their hot little hands on an annual payment ($3-4,000) from the trust fund…for life...mmm
When Mommy Sarah realized she was going into labor, she went to the Airport in Texas and took a five hour flight to Alaska…mmmm
What normal human instinct could overcome the ProtectiveMommyImperative and could cause a delivering mother (who apparently knew that her child was severely handicapped) to risk 5 hours thousands of feet above the earth in a steel cylinder…could it be the need for an Alaskan birth certificate to satisfy her lust for the ForeverTrustFundPayments? Why did she risk her baby and herself? A deniable abortion attempt or simple greed?
No answer possible. Truth and Justice are the first casualties of Republican rule.
Character is fate. Her expense account practices alone tell me all I need to know. Stay strong. We need you all.
Justice Guy is from Boston.
