Where was the stampede of the endangered Colorado PUMA?

I told you there would be no floor fight. The Corporate Media said there would be. I told you Hillary would do the right thing the Corporate Media said they were writing a new nominating speech. I told you Roll Call would end when they got to NY the Corporate media said otherwise.

The pundits were either stupid or making this crap up. Either way they lose and AMERICANS WIN!!!. It was a great day!

We watched two amazing things last night. The first African American man became the Democratic nominee for President of the Unite States and the powerful Clintons chose their country over their ambitions. Truly an American moment of conscience and decency. THAT was the best of American values and tradition.

Did you see Beau Biden and his dad Joe Biden? There wasn’t a dry eye in the entire Convention Hall. Michelle was crying, Jill was crying, the delegates were crying, Members of Congress were crying, and Beau and Joe ere both chocking back tears. Believe your own instincts. What you saw and felt and KNEW was REAL. The pundits, and the “heads” and the haters are the illusion.

Today is the 45th anniversary of Martin Luther Kings’ ’ “I Have a Dream” speech. And from that dream we will pull a new reality.

Tonight, on the shoulders of hundreds of thousands decent and brave men and women of the Civil rights movement will stand Barack Obama. One man representing the hopes of all decent people will proclaim that AMERICA IS after all the GREATEST NATION IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD. Or as my mom used to tell me, “We will get there because we live here ONLY IN AMERICA Randi. Only in America”.

Love your country when it’s right. Right it when it is wrong and the American Dream expands, widens, and deepens to include EVERY Americans’ dream.

Slowly yes, but surely if the people are good. And we are good. That’s what makes us great!

Get ready for History tonight my dear ones. You and all you have done and will do make this night possible. CONGRATULATIONS! Well done.

So enjoy the fruits of your labors and then rest because we still have work to do together.

Frankly, we're all letting ourselves get too involved in the fake dramas manufactured by the MSM and even our side. Hartmann and Maddow were predicting the same possibilities.

It was a wonderful, moving day yesterday. And what did we get? A day full of pathetic drama acted out on national television between competing egos. Nothing of substance from any network and very little positive reporting of how the democratic processed worked for the good of Americans over party politics.

I haven't watched CNN or Fixed Noise since the convention started. I don't have MSNBC anymore. I wouldn't be it this week, anyway. Although, "The Daily Show" showed clips of MSNBC anchors giving each other finger on-air. OMG that was peeing your pants funny. I've been watching the convention on "The SPAN".

If Barack Obama is being hailed as the new JFK then there is no question that the lovely and unbelievably talented Melissa is the new Joan Baez. grouphug.gif

Am, typically, in full agreement with She Who Must Be Heard's marvy front page remarks, so, as supplement, a typically marvy review by reliably marvy colleague Mary McNamara on last night's exceptionally marvy DNCC nomination night and the despicably un-marvy network coverage in today's LAT:

Despite the best efforts of the television news outlets, it was a great night for Democratic television.

Karl Rove defending Bill Clinton from a disparaging Sean Hannity; Bill Clinton telling the thousands of conventioneers chanting his name to "please stop it, please sit down," so he could anoint Barack Obama; Joe Biden honoring his white-haired mother for telling him to bloody the noses of the bullies who picked on him; Obama telling Hillary Rodham Clinton that she "rocked the house" -- despite the best efforts of the television news outlets, it was a great night for Democratic television. Specifically, it was all so well planned, you almost couldn't believe it was the Democrats.

Notes at the end that only PBS covered John Kerry's speech, which sums up why in my house the NewsHour coverage augmented the C-SPAN feed.

.Go, Obama/Biden. Tonight's going to be one for the books. Yes, We Can.

Perfect headline. Didn't get what they wanted did they?

Makes you wonder too, did they have to do the on-air fighting? Was that all they had? Do they think we care at this point?
