I think she's a joke. Clearly McCain does not care about the country. Is this person qualified to become president, should something happen to the 72-year-old McCain? NO WAY.
They say the choice of a v.p. candidate is the first indication of what kind of president a nominee would make. This executive decision by McCain proves he does NOT have the judgment to be president.
This is ridiculous.
Hey, Michael Palin would make a better choice.

She rose to prominence as a whistleblower against republican party leaders, an ex miss alaska candidate, an ex sports caster, hunter, fisherwoman, basketball player. mother of 5 including a down syndrome child just a few months ago.
Seems like a good choice for McCain to pick up disenfranchised women and keep the base of the party happy. We'll see.
If noting else, it will definitely keep Obamas speech from dominating the airwaves today as everyone tries to report who this pick is.

And on top of it, she's a frickin' beauty queen. Because surely when the country is in a deep fucking mess after having been driven into that ditch by a drunken frat boy, what we really need now is a dumb jock and a beauty queen to rescue us from all that nasty complexity.

It's a wise choice but also a vicious choice. It's obvious he picked this woman because all of the Hillary crap that is going down. I really hope Obama's campaign says something about this. lol At least he didn't pick Condi. People love Condi for whatever reason. I don't get why people have such tremendous respect for this woman who acts like Bush's dummy in a ventriloquist act. It seems like all Bush/McCain type republican women are such stepford wives. I'm supposed to be an admirer of hers but I really don't see how these women have helped the women's movement. They make us look bad in the public eye.
Then I bet something will be misconstrued in the VP debate when Biden argues with her because he will falsely portrayed as beating up on a woman. I can just see all the smearing happening. Has anyone watched CNN today? It seems like they are already doing a hell of a lot more coverage of the Repug Convention than they did of ours. It makes me want to vomit. I am doing all I possibly can to expose the truth and get Obama elected.
EDIT: I just wanted to add that I meant it was a wise choice for his campaign. Not a wise choice for vice president necessarily. That woman is basically being exploited by being chosen.

In 2005, Ms. Palin alleged to Mr. Wooten's supervisors that he had threatened to harm her sister and father and had engaged in numerous instances of misconduct, including using a stun gun on his 10-year-old stepson, according to state documents.
In one instance, she told state investigators, she overheard him on the telephone threatening her sister: "I'm gonna f-kin" shoot your dad. He's gonna get a lead bullet."
Mr. Wooten told investigators he tested a Taser stun gun on the boy at his request but never threatened the Palins. An internal police investigation substantiated the stun-gun incident and some other charges but threw out most of the rest. Mr. Wooten was suspended for five days in 2006
So she is being charged with forcing a state troopers boss to fire a trooper who used a stun gun on a 10 year old child. Sounds like a lot to do about nothing and actually makes her look good.
