I'm just happy, here in California, it's required by law to put a sign stating there is a traffic cam at an intersection.

I've got an even better idea than spraying some expensive crap on your plates.

Don't run red lights.

Easy, cheap and 100% effective.

We all know it's not the red lights that bother us...maybe you should stretch your imagination. Tune into those feelings about privacy...your rights, etc.

When your done...you'll have a better understanding of this issue.

I fully advocate the unlawful act of vandalizing these intrusive cameras. Once they have to replace enough of them, at such and such a price, that will be it.

Thanks for the lecture Mom.

Screw it. It's too late to try and put together a civil answer to you. It's not worth it

They'll figure out those camera systems are too much effort, and just install transponder chips in the license plates. Then you can be tracked wherever you go. That, or require every car fitted with an OnStar style system. They can kill your engine, or lock you in or out of your car. "Oh brave new world, that has such gadgets in it!"

I think I saw something like that on Dr. Who recently.

I don't run red lights, but I hate those cameras. If I'm going to be charged with a traffic violation, I want it done by a live human being on the scene. Allowing a robot camera to make the initial judgment just doesn't sit well with my sense of justice.

Awwww....that's the problem with America today, no staying power. Either their heads are on backwards..(I think there's a words for that somewhere) OR they don't have communication skills.

Such a simple topic, too. It's a shame.

I see yur point...so much money we have to spend to spy on ourselves...well citizens can get rid of their legislators, then.
That's a State by State referendum question if there ever was one.

Like the 'Vchip', it'll never happen.

Anything and everything we do in public is observable and recordable. It might be wise to take mother's admonition to heart even as an adult: "Behave yourself, you're in public."
