and I'll post it here since you can't get on the show is this; The Republicans don't WANT to win the White House this year. They have done every thing they can to sabotage their ticket. From picking an old crazy man and all his gaffes, to all the lobbyists on the bus to today's insane attempt at stealing the headlines with the Palin pick. Craziness.
They NEED the democrats back in office to rebuild the treasury so they can get back to stealing it all again in 8 years...

Jim---I must say that I have entertained that thought, they seem to be like cicadas, come back every time there is prosperity, and then ruin it, and blame us. They are like Herpes, just when you thought it was gone, ya get another cold sore, and no one wants to kiss you. Then they lie and say it's from being punched defending your right to own a gun!!!

and...when things are going good again and people can AFFORD to let stupid wedge issues sway their thinking it'll be prime time for another republican administration. Right now there's just too much that has to get done and nobody is buying their bullshit OR the pundits TRYING to create issues

I just hope that we don't underestimate them and lose because we are principled and they will do whatever it takes to win.

I doubt that the Treasury is their concern. The Palin pick
was probably about money, but not
that money.
QUOTE
McCain Pick Appears To Bring In $7 MillionSen. John McCain has taken in $7 million in contributions since announcing Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate, a top campaign aide said yesterday.
The bounce in new money may owe to Palin's appeal with conservative donors, many of whom said privately that they had planned on sitting out the campaign this year. The money rush has just beat the buzzer: After McCain accepts the GOP nomination Thursday, he will no longer be permitted to raise private money for his campaign. -

I respectufully disagree. Who wants to be a losser? I think McCain went for Palin because they realized the ONLY chance they have to win this election is doing the same thing Karl Rove and GWB did in 2004, which was energizing all the rednecks ignorant Evangelicals hatemongers who never accepted grandpa by putting in the ticket a gun wacko, a pro life funtamentalist, a drill drill drill whore.
I have to admitt she makes the ticket more interesting now. If Romney or Pawlenty would had been choosen, the ticket would had remain the same...just boring, no story, 2 rich pasty white men. At least Palin, for some reason, makes the ticket...let's say interesting.

Interesting in a "what's this guy smoking" kind of way, that is.

My dad is the exact same age as McInsane (born 1936). He's been a lifelong Republican, but is now 100% committed to Obama and "Change
NOW" being the only option to preserve America for his grandchildren. He said at the outset of the Primaries that the GOP candidate would be
merely a sacrificial lamb. He nailed it IMHO.
My theory - I believe this election marks the beginning of the permanent demise of The Rotten Dog Food Party, to be replaced by the rise of Serious Libertarianism/Constitutionism over the next few decades.

It's "flop sweat" and it's like what made Michael Richards lose his mind on stage.
