Now this is a bit of a rumor but it all makes sense READ ON!

Cover-up? Alaska Gov. Palin ® announced she was pregnant. Local rumors suggest she is covering up for her 16 y/o daughter.

jibegod posted: Second post the first post was today 4 month after the thread started.

On March 5th, 2008 Alaska's Republican Governor, Sarah Palin, announced to the media that she was 7 months pregnant with her 5th child. She is currently 44.

The controversy arises from two sources: First, Palin does not appear pregnant in any recent photographs. The announcement came as quite a shock to people who had worked closely with her, and have been quoted as saying that she did not appear pregnant whatsoever during the prior 7 months. While this is debatable, you can judge for yourself here: http://gov.state.ak.us/photos.php

The State of Alaska has REMOVED the photo! But I saw it and she had on tight pants with a very flat stomach.

Second, Palin's daughter Bristol is 16 and attends an Anchorage high school. Students who have attended class with her report that she has been out of school for months, claiming a prolonged case of mono.

Apparently, this rumor has made the rounds in the upper echelon of the Alaska legislature, and is a closely guarded secret. As far as I know, this rumor has not been discussed by any media outlets, in Alaska or otherwise.

The points here are based mostly upon hearsay, and I'm not trying to destroy an innocent family. However, a Republican politician hiding a pregnant teenage daughter seems rather newsworthy.

AND then there is this: What woman who's had 4 kids has her water break in Texas gets on a plane that take hours to get to Alaska and then delivers.

Sorry I've had 2 and the more ya have the faster they come into this world. The baby delivers one month early and she didn't KNOW she was in labor after 4 kids? HORSE PADDY'S!

Governor cuts Texas trip short, gives birth

ONE MONTH EARLY: Palin flew home to deliver 6-pound Trig.

Gov. Sarah Palin gave birth to her fifth child at 6:30 a.m. Friday, flying home from a conference in Texas to have the baby boy at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center.

Meet Trig Paxson Van Palin. He's 6 pounds, 2 ounces, and about a month early.

"It was quite a surprise," said Palin spokeswoman Sharon Leighow.

Palin and her husband, Todd, had been in Texas since Tuesday for a Republican Governors Association convention, Leighow said.

The Palin family issued a statement that read: "Trig is beautiful and already adored by us. We knew through early testing he would face special challenges, and we feel privileged that God would entrust us with this gift and allow us unspeakable joy as he entered our lives."

Asked what special challenges the family was referring to, Leighow said, "It's a family matter, and that information should come from the governor herself."

Leighow said Palin and her son were healthy and resting comfortably Friday.

The sequence of events surrounding the labor was unclear.

An announcement from the state said that Palin's "labor began (Thursday) while she was in Texas at the governor's energy conference, where she gave the keynote luncheon address, but let up enough for her to travel on Alaska Airlines back to Alaska in time to deliver her second son."

Leighow said she doesn't know when Palin's contractions began.

"The governor would have never left Texas if she thought that it put her child at risk," she said.

Palin's parents, Chuck and Sally Heath, declined to be interviewed.

Like the rest of Alaskans, Leighow said, she learned the baby's name on Friday.

March 14, 2008? That would make her 7 months pregnant. Wears it well.

Can we at least get her on "pre-child" abuse for binding up her unborn child in a super tight corset?

Six months "pregnant" here.

She's covering up for her daughter's pregnancy?

That's a conservative thing to do.

However, her age would make the kid more likely to have Down's Syndrome. If it were her daughter, it's HIGHLY unlikely.

Now we just need to find out who the boyfriend of the daughter is and see if he'll admit to having sex with her.

Someone needs to get to Alaska. Fast before McShame pays off or knocks off the boyfriend.

ChiffonBreath thats what I kept encountering I'd find a picture then it would disappear fast than you can say....ooops gone again.

Those are good points, but the pictures are pretty strong evidence against it being her baby .. the baby was only one month late, and weighed in at 6 lbs 2 oz, putting it at a very average weight. Is it possible she could be 7 months in and still look lie she does in those pictures?

Unless the pictures are labeled incorrectly and the dates are way out of whack, and given the fact that she is running for high office, I think the question should be asked so we can confirm how honest this person is ... otherwise I could give a shit who really had the baby.

Actually the baby was delivered 1 month EARLY! Nope even her staff was surprised when she said she was 7 months preggers. AND her own parents REFUSED to comment on the birth of their daughters 5th grand-child. OH Please they would at least say they were happy, something other than no comment. Their daughter is the freaking Governor of Alaska. LOL

And I just checked no woman who's water breaks (as reported at DU but I can't find the link) in Texas can fly on a public plane (Air Alaska) to Alaska a nearly 8 to 10 hour flight with some fights having several plane changes and not drop her package.

Thats why doc's say no flying after 7 months pregnant, can't remember if it's the take off or landing but it also has something to do with altitude too.

Here's the link for flights from Houston to Anchorage, it might not work since it's time senative flight bookings.

I found no reports her daughter was hospitalized with a bad case of mono or with bad complications. So it stands to reason her so called case of mono was not that bad. I had it once and didn't even know it. Most have it just 1 to 3 weeks. Bad cases can have it for months and it's only catching through the saliva.

Who gets Mono?

Only humans and some primates can get infectious mononucleosis. Anyone from babies to the elderly can get mono, but mostly teens and young adults get it. Most people get it before or during collage. About seventy/(70) to eighty/(80) percent of all cases of mono occur in people between fifteen/(15) through thirty/(30).

How long does is last?

Usually infectious mononucleosis can keep a person in bed anywhere from one (1) week to three (3) weeks, or as long as a couple of months. Once infected, the person will be immune to further disease. Second attacks of mono are extremely rare.

Complications and After Effects

One major complication during mono is the enlargement of the spleen and/or liver. About fifty/(50) through seventy-five/(75) percent of people with mono have some spleen enlargement. Once the spleen is enlarged, it becomes susceptible to being bruised or even ruptured easily. One blow to the stomach can be very dangerous with an enlarged spleen. This is why doctors advise to stay away from playing sports or exercise for a couple months.

More severe complications include: encephalitis (inflammation of the brain), hemolytic anemia (a massive destruction of red blood cells), or blockage of the respiratory air passage. Keep in mind that these complications and after effects are very rare.

80% of down syndrome children are born from mothers under 35. So, not totally unlikely...depending on what unlikely means. Reason for the high percentage is the fertility rate. when age groups are looked at individually, mothers over 45 have a much higher incidence than younger mothers.

I'm no woman, but she has been popping out babies like a pez dispenser does candy. Maybe she can do it on her lunch breaks now. I think this is a trivial subject unless substantiated. Too bad the baby didn't come out black... at least that would have made things more interesting.

What's wrong with the sourcing?

The sourcing for the evidence seems to me to be pretty reliable. The speculation based on that evidence may not be 100% air tight, but the evidence itself is hard to question.

It's certainly much stronger than the evidence that Obama is a Muslim, or his connection to organized crime. If that nonsense could make it to MSM I don't see why this can't (except that it's about a right winger and MSM doesn't piss in its own cornflakes.)

Who's talking about a 16 year old girl? This is about a possible lie told by a VP candidate.

Whether Palin's daughter had a baby or not changes my opinion of her not one bit (I have no opinion on her and it will remain that way whether she had the baby or not.) If on the other hand you would judge the child harshly because she had a baby then that's an issue with yourself, and has nothing to do with my character or the character of the 16 year old child.

Suppose this rumour were about the Obama's ... the right would be questioning the character of every member of the family and not just the people who are in the position of responsibility and are doing the lying.

If it was her daughter's baby that would mean Palin couldn't go around lecturing people on moral values. If you take that away from a GOP politician, what is the point of their holding elected office? I mean one can only pitch for oil companies so many days of the year. Elected office just isn't the same without the self righteous sermons.

Kerry was better than that, and he lost to Bush.

In the debates, he kicked Bush's *ss. What he should have done was when he was done and had leftover his time, to start reading bushisms and show how stupid Bush sounded.

We're in a country where it's almost as if the issues are secondary to the sound bites. Kerry lost because of purple hearts being drawn on bandaids to a guy who couldn't prove his record of service.

The issues are important, but I've never forgotten the crowds waving flip-flops in the air in 2004 like people who wanted to be blind, deaf, and dumb and simply wail like banshees in support of the leader who had already failed them.

So you're saying that we should never expose "family values" hypocrisy of Republicans because the kkk types might use "burning cross" tactics on the hypocrites?

OK, two things VERY wrong with that theory.

1) Bowing to right wing fear and intimidation tactics. We can't expose the truth or even question the truth because the truth will upset the nutters and make them act irrationally ... that's a formula for doing nothing.

2) The far right will never believe the story any way no matter how much proof they receive. DNA evidence wouldn't make the far right nutters turn on someone like Palin, and any Republican that did accept such evidence is unlikely to put the blame on the child, and definitely will not be going out to burn things on the Palin lawn. What they might do though is shake their heads, sigh , and stay away or vote for one of the "third party" candidates.

So when you say your sister didn't show, are you saying that in the 7th month she could wear tight fitting figure clinging cloths like in the provided Palin photos, and showed no sign of pregnancy; or are you saying she could wear some lose fitting cloths and most people wouldn't notice she was carrying?

There's a woman at work who stands about 5' and weighs about 200lbs ... she was pregnant and I never knew until she left on maternity leave, but that's not Palin's case.

There's a huge difference between adding on 12 pounds to a "beauty queen figure" and having to hide a 12 pound "bowling ball" in her stomach.

OK, someone may have already pointed these things out, but I've only gotten through the first page so far.

1) Being in a pressurized airplane can cause labor to start and/or intensify. It's why airlines won't let women in their last month of pregnancy get on their planes. So it's unlike that the labor "let up" long enough for her to fly to Alaska from Texas.

2) Second, Third, etc. babies start showing MUCH earlier than first babies. I popped out at around 4 months with my second and my pregnant friend has been showing since 3-4 months with her third!

3) A premature baby (by one month) does not come out at 6 lbs 2 oz (my one week late daughter weighed 6 lbs 8 oz). So either the date was off (which IS possible, but unlikely since she obviously had ultrasounds that showed the baby had downs) or there is something fishy with the dating. Maybe we should look into where she was 38-41 weeks before she had the baby.

4) Even if a woman is not showing very much while pregnant, it's unlikely that she would be very comfortable in fitted clothes. Being pregnant feels the way it looks, like you have something in your belly, but it feels that way much earlier than when you are showing.

5) Subsequent children deliver VERY quickly. In my case 14 hr labor with first 3.5 hour labor with second. Now some women do have a slower labor around the 4th or 5th child, but again being on a plane would counteract that!

I'm not one for conspiracy theories, but considering I live in the South and my own niece's mother was sent away to a "mother's home" for being a teenage mother, and was kicked out of her private Christian school for being pregnant, I would NOT put this past this past an Evangelical RWer. Especially since it's been done before, just not to someone so high profile.

Oh, so pictures of an apparently non pregnant Palin, and the fact she "rushed" back from Texas to Alaska during labour to have "her" baby is nothing to go on, but a so called "limited numbers of Reps posting to this thread" is "proof" that there is nothing to this and the brilliant right wingers are staying away on purpose to allow us to waste our time?

Can you provide links for this theory of yours?

If you don't want to waste your time on this issue, then by all means concentrate on other threads that you believe Reps will respond to and thus prove that the accusations are ture ... if that's your sincere believe in how things work.
