A new rule has been put in place.

QUOTE
22) Source your information. You must be able to provide accessible, linked sources for any information that you present as "fact" on the RRMB if a member requests your source or if you copy and paste part of an article. Sites that require payment or registration to view their information are not considered "accessible."

If your only source of information for a particular topic is an inaccessible site, you may copy and paste part of an article from that source provided you state clearly at the beginning of the post that your source requires payment or registration to read it and that you could find the information nowhere else.

When you provide a link to an article the link must go directly to the article. Do not post a link to a home page of a site that contains that article.

good rule. Here is the truth. Gramm leach bililey act of 1999 crushed the american economy from the inside. It is the one true moment in time that traces the start of our downfall. The passage of the act in november of 1999 is the greatest misstake of the twentieth century.

All it said was that banks were allowed to buy securities companies.
The other 600 pages were a decoy to keep congress tied down reading it rather than understanding the impact.

I suppose that we can ask if anyone else heard something on the show (hard to get a link to something that was on the radio).

How do you link something you heard on another talk show, how can that be linked? Because I heard something on another Progressive talk show about McCain's financial voting record for 2008 on Capital Hill.

The rule applies to statements asserted to be facts. I think you are OK to ASK about something you heard and hope someone might help in the documentation.

You simply state that you heard it on a talk show.

Note that the rule says that you must provide a link if requested. If you say that you heard something on a talk show, people aren't going to request a link because you've already stated where you got the information.

The nice part of this rule is that, when you are forced to source your info, the poster will actually find out if it is true!
