Perhaps she knew the child was going to be a Down Syndrome and was not very careful hoping for a bad outcome? "God's will." If, in fact, she was ever pregnant, which is seriously doubted.

I didn't know that the airlines would let anyone fly after 7 months, let alone while in labor!

Per the stories circulating on the internet she didn't tell them she was in labor and the air crew members are quoted as saying they didn't notice that she was in any kind of distress or pregnant.

I am really anxious to see all this actually followed up.

As a mom, here's what I'm thinking. With each pregnancy, the length of labor shortens. This was supposedly her FIFTH child?!?! And she waits for 10 - 12 hours after her water breaks to get to a hospital?

You're right, Mart. It stinks. Plus, pictures taken of her at the time she was supposedly 7 months pregnant show NO baby bump. So I'm not buying it.

OK, there is another thread on the topic but I guess no one wants to wade trough 20+ pages to find the details, so here's my understanding of the situation.

First off, there are basically three ways this story seems to be heading.

1st way is that this is indeed Sarah's baby and her judgment while incredibly stupid from a normal person's view was actually made under the supervision (at least partially) of her doctor ... there were statements from her doctor about the birth which basically said the birth was successful, it had to be induced, and both mother and child were doing fine.

2nd way is that the baby is not Sarah's but really her daughters and Sarah is covering up for an embarrassing situation where an "abstinence only" family learns the hard lesson of how well that works. The rest of the story I won't go into right now as it's well "documented" in other threads on this board.

A dailyKos blogger has a pretty good outline of this theory, including pretty well all the relevant pictures posted here.

3rd way this story could go, and seems to be at least as likely as the 2nd option is that both Sarah and her daughter were pregnant, the daughter being still pregnant, and in recent public appearances is actually always seen holding Sarah's new born baby along with a blanket that fully covers her front and hiding her now obvious "baby bump". (also note in that picture her "ring finger" ... congratulation on your marriage/engagement, glad to see the father has decided to do the right thing.)

Medical Information Falls Under HIPPA (Health Insurance Privacy Protection Act) ... If your wife has a problem she has to authorize you to be able to see her records.

If you had AIDS, your wife couldn't see your records. Certain employees can not see your records (Claims data) and they are supposed to be uder lock and key with limited access.

It's the law. That's the HIPPA law. It protects the individual over a Co. or even a Spouse. It actually is good, because it refuses to discriminate. Although ... Certain Co. Employees have access to records to a point. HR & Benefits Personnel usually at the HQ have claims access. But Not Actual Doctor's Records.

Hardly, "wet nurses" can lactate without having be been recently pregnant ... normally all it takes is regular suckling, but now a days there are even drugs that one can take to help the process.

The story was put to bed for most posters. It is no surprise that there will be a handful of die hard conspiracy theorists who just won't be deterred.

If you take a look at that last few pages following Carmen's post, you will find the typical post discussion wandering into many unrealted topics. I like to refer to it as playing patty cake.

In terms of new threads on the topic, that is typical when a new thread originator is not aware there are other threads on the topic. I'm kind of expecting the mods to merge the threads eventually.

There is a difference between "evidence" and "proof" ... what has been presented on the Internet concerning the Palin pregnancy includes its fair share of "evidence", as of yet the "proof" of the matter is still missing ... for instance, you too can provide "evidence" that her story is as she claims, but unless you bring something new to the table you will not be able to provide "proof".

The only ones pursuing this are those on the hard left who have nothing better to do than to attempt to beat this women to a pulp. Why would anyone outside of the left wing blogosphere give this ridiculous story any attention at all. There is no story, and thus there is nothing to prove.

As a member of the hard left I am more concerned with the violation of the free speech
