Will he have time between now and the election to vote against it and lie about it 1000 times ?????

Folks complained about Republicans "eatting cake" while people died during Katrina.

Looks like Senator McCain isn't going to make that mistake.

I agree.

This is a classic CYA move that is IMO, lacking genuineness. Bottomline is, McCain is a sad and dangerous person.

One can argue that the motives may be based on CYA. But at least this will lead some to DTRT (Do The Right Thing).

On a more practical level, his visit yesterday to the MS Command Center was horribly inappropriate. I am part of the emergency response command staff in a major Florida city. I assure you the last thing we would want the day before a potential major hurricane landfall would be a couple of politicians conducting a campaign event at our center. Spin it as you want, but this is simple pandering, not unlike his pick of Palin. puke.gif

"Pimp the hurricane?" I like that!

Still, I find it amusing that groups like Focus on the Family were praying for it to rain on the Democratic Primary and Obama's acceptance speech. Instead their prayers are being answered by Gustav pissing on their parade.

Somebody up there just doesn't like the GOP!

IN REALITY THEY WERE celebrating Mc Nasty's birthday - and he could of delayed or
rescheduled it !

How long was it after Katrina, that Mc Cain went there ????

How many times has he been back ??? And how many were not "Mc Pandering" fund raisers.

How many times has he "flatly" lied to them about his votes on Katrina ???

His voting record belies his true concern :

But consistently .... Mc Disingenuous ! Mc Pander ! Mc Multi-liar !

If he were not so desperate, I don't think he would be blatantly throwing it away !

Like the contradictions from his interview, upon returning from Vietnam U.S. News & World ...
1973 [when he did not seem to have political aspirations]
vs subsequent "variations" .... and blatant lies !

Johnie [you may be computer illiterate] - but we have "the google" and "internets" ....
It only took 1/2 hour to disprove his "cross in the dirt" lie - in church in Lake Forest, Ca.
and less time to disprove the lie in Pennsylvania, about the "team from the Steelers" ...

I don't know how you can defend, and represent someone you can not trust, either !!!
He has the integrity of a "used car" salesman ! He has become Nixon !
