Put me in with Mittens

Coupla more longshots:

Pervez Musharraf 40-1 (bonus: currently unemployed)

Nouri Maliki 75-1 (will attend cabinet meetings via Webex, due to inability to leave green zone)

Osama Bin-Laden 100-1 (will, at long last, bring the mutual admiration society between the GOP and the Saudi's out of the closet wub.gif )

OOpsie, what if she is the keeper and they dump grand paw.., then put me in for Mitt "Mitney" Romney "Mittens" no matter what happens.

Mitt "Mitney" Romney straight and boxed.

He's the one the Bush family dumped their cash into

I guess it's entirely possible McCain's vetting process would fail to uncover the fact that Musharraf and Maliki are not US Citizens.

I put my money up the same... I don't think they really like gramps as the nominee anyways. This is all so people will get over the "Mormon issue."

You know, on Earth, the planet where I live, I'd have to say it's unlikely she'll survive until the nomination. But I believe there is also every reason to suspect McCain and a great many other Republicans live in an alternative universe which can be seen from my planet, and I am not at all certain they do things as they should, or as we would.

Really, I think "She stays on the ticket" just isn't much when compared to, "The surge is working," "the economy is fundamentally sound" and "I'm a reformer - it has been the basis of my 25 years in Congress."

Were he to find his way into this universe, however briefly, and lose Palin, I'm betting McCain would then step back into his universe and select Mitt Romney.

I'd say more than entirely possible.

In fact, I set that at 2/5.

My uneducated guess would be Romney.
Unless they want another woman like Kay Bailey Hutchinson. Just don't have Tom DeLay try to introduce her at the convention. laugh.gif Then of course, they could make another wacko choice like a noun, a verb, and Rudy Giuliani.
Yoshosedai
I say Romney, then possible long-shot Lieberman.
Stoon
Hmmm. What are the odds they'll replace Sarah Palin with another ideologically correct woman, Anne Coulter?

Kay Bailey Hutchinson

Isn't she pro choice?

I think if they switch a woman for a woman the pandering would be even more obvious.

Yeah. Pally willl be the cheer leader making the "slam dunks" and slapping stick. Hockey, Bassetball, man that Pally is shiny.I figure they put her in the mix for distraction..to run interfearance .

I figure this way whomever winds up at the top of the ticket, if he/she wins, that person wil pull together all the power Dick Cheney amassed for himself (+) all the power Baby Bush amasses for himself and take all of the power, thereby making it that much easier to be a dictator...an elected by the people dictator...banana republicans will rejoice...the Christofascists will do the happy dance.

And then you know what happens next eh?

An American Taliban.

Are U ready for that America?

Wake up America!
Hardball
I'm tempted to day she might not go away afterall.

McCain raises $47 million in August

She's good on, "pocket book" issues.
GCurry
IMO, they won't drop Palin. They can't. Dropping her would be an immediate indictment of McCain's (lack of) judgment. It doesn't matter whether she's been vetted or not.

I think they will try to bluff their way through this, going on the offensive when they should be on defensive, and out-executing the Democrats, dominating air and press time to take the spotlight off McCain.
