Amid the reports of the bad side of policing, especially in Missouri of late, I have a personal note of the good deeds police can do. I had my truck stolen from where i work not more than a few weeks ago. Tonight it was found in an apartment complex very near where I lived just before my recent move. To save me the trouble of having to pay for the towing (and doubtless some little bit of paperwork on their own part) the police officer who found it called and invited me to come pick it up myself. It was in good condition and despite a couple missing items was unharmed. Happy news for me!

It's good to get an opportunity to meet cops and be able to assess their character on an individual basis.
Nice to see you met one that turned out NOT to be a punk. I've met several good ones myself. One of them was a genuine, dyed-in-the-wool dude.
