The Pailins announced that their pregnant daughter will soon marrie the babie's father. Whay they failed to mention is how old the father is. Sarah Pailin is not that stupid after all, statutory rape charges at this point won't help McCain.

I think I read that in Alaska it isn't statutory rape. Their age of consent is 16, regardless of the age of their partner.

I know it's one of those things that makes some people's day when someone who claims to be so righteous has this kind of thing happen to them, but this is a 17 year old kid who now has to get married because she was unfortunate enough to be born into a family that most likely didn't teach her about birth control.

I think this kid has paid enough for her "sin". Now we are beating her up and not necessarily her mother. Mom's fair game, poor dumb kid really isn't.

Whether it's the boyfriend or not, it still involves the girl. But I'd say the same about that boy, he is a product of his environment. He was unlucky enough to be born into a family and/or environment that encouraged him to be a "f***ing redneck" and to be proud of it.
