I am sorry, my friends, and my enemies too, I do not care if a person is a Republican, Democrat, Male, Female, Christian, Jew, Muslim, White, Black Green, Asian, young, old, Gay, Lesbian..BUT...... no matter who the person is...A PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE CAN, AND SHOULD NOT, EVER, PICK A VIE PRESIDENTIAL RUNNING MATE AFTER ONE FIFTEEN MINUTE VISIT WITH THAT PERSON...NEVER, NEVER NEVER.

I find McCain's selection of Sarah Palin to be reprehensible, out of line, and totally UNACCEPTABLE.

And, any American that cares about our country should feel the same way.

It has nothing to do with her daughter's pregnancy. There are many issues much more important than that, like the safety and the security of our nation, for which she is totally out of her league.

And, on international matters, this woman has only been out of our country on one occasion, and it is my understanding that she does not even own a passport.

Every other candidate, including those that McCain has not picked, and the ones that Obama did not pick, all surpassed the international and security experience that Palin has, or for that matter, does not have.

She, Palin, lcan not even carry Hillary Clinton's bra strap. Hillary, as first lady has met and knowsd leaders of the world, in most countires, she has met and spoken with, and dined with many foreign dignitaries, as have all of the other potential candidates. SARAH PALIN HAS NOT.

I FIND HER NOMINATION TO BE THE VICE PRESIDENT TO BE TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.

I for one totally agree with your understanding of a vice-presidential pick...This says volumes about the type of people McCain wants to have for our country's leaders if elected GOD FORBID!

Since you will most likely be voting for Obama, why would you even bother concerning yourself with this? rolleyes.gif

I quite agree NEM, but I have a feeling that McCain was TOLD whom to pick.

(Then, when he saw her ass he decided it would all work out. wink.gif )

Gee, maybe because he's a citizen of this country?

Liberals tend to want things for the good of all people and the collective health of the nation.

I agree. I have said that from the beginning. There is no way that John McCain, HIMSELF, could have made this pick. The RNC and the religious right wing of the party did it, IMO, and in yours too.

THis decision to pick her is the best ammunition anyone could ever want in a campaign...

a. she is the most unqualified person ever to be picked in our history

b. she holds political views that alienate the majority of the country, according to polls regards choice, prayer, etc...

c. she is so ignorant I hear she thought the pledge was written by our founders, if anyone has a link please

d. she is the neocons shill for when mccain is no longer president for whatever reason

e. she insults every woman merely by her being picked

McCain is the issue here, that he would pick her he is saying he doesnt care about the country or the people...

Well, though I'm not surprised, that was an utterly stupid and ridiculous statement.

We should all care what the candidates are in every party.

Regardless of who one person might be voting for, there is potential for either side to win.

There was a time in this country where, while people supported one ticket or another, we had some expectation that, aside from our personal policies, the winning candidates would at a minimum at least do no harm to our country.

There are always literal winners and losers in campaigns, but the country or nation as a whole should expect that whoever wins will be a good thing for the country.

So while I might not like one politicians ideas or policies, in the end I would hope to be able to have some comfort level that he's not in this thing to basically F*** us over.

In the last 2 election cycles and this election cycle, that is no longer the case.

So who the "other side" has on their ticket, who they put out to be the "best of the best" of their party, very much concerns me and is just as important as who the party I support puts out as the "best of the best."

McCain's ticket, his advisors, his staff, his organization, the entire structure of his campaign and who and what he intends to put into play should he win this has one goal in mind:

Dismantle my government.

So when "My" President appoints an Arabian Horse Show official to head FEMA, presents as a supreme court judge candidate a woman who has no understanding of the constitution, an Attorney General whose main mission is to politicize our entire judicial system, and that's just scratching the surface on the Bush contributions. . . and then McCain weighs in and has an economic advisor who may well be single-handedly responsible for our mortgage and banking industry implosions and a wholly unqualified individual to sit in the second line of succession to the Presidency,

Yea, it F***ing matters to me.

The real question is, how can you sit there and pretend it doesn't matter to you, either.

You may not like or trust Obama or Biden, but there is no question that they are a billion country miles a better choice for their respective roles for this country, to SERVE the country's best interest, should they win and your choice lose, than the McCain/Palin ticket that is being presented to us right now.
