"Palin earlier this year used her line-item veto to slash funding for a state program benefiting teen mothers in need of a place to live.

After the legislature passed a spending bill in April, Palin went through the measure reducing and eliminating funds for programs she opposed. Inking her initials on the legislation -- "SP" -- Palin reduced funding for Covenant House Alaska by more than 20 percent, cutting funds from $5 million to $3.9 million. Covenant House is a mix of programs and shelters for troubled youths, including Passage House, which is a transitional home for teenage mothers.

According to Passage House's web site, its purpose is to provide "young mothers a place to live with their babies for up to eighteen months while they gain the necessary skills and resources to change their lives" and help teen moms "become productive, successful, independent adults who create and provide a stable environment for themselves and their families."

Earlier today McCain opposed funding to prevent teen pregnancies, a position that Palin also took as governor. "The explicit sex-ed programs will not find my support," she wrote in a 2006 questionnaire distributed among gubernatorial candidates."

she's a real class act -- she also slashed the food kitchen budget from $50,000 to $25000 -- with a complete line thru the above program....

i keep saying it other places.... who is paying for bristol palin's health insurance? if she's covered under sarah under the governor, it might be that the alaskan tax payers are paying for bristol's prenatal care and delivery -- that's called welfare -- i dont think the tax payers of alaska had in mind to pay for the prenatal care of the gov's unwed teen daughter....

please, anyone from alaska know if you pay for the governor's health insurance???

If it's any help:

The Child Care Program Office (CCPO) is the lead agency for the Federal Child Care Development Fund (CCDF) functions.

The CCPO monitors, regulates, and licenses child care facilities across the state and further promotes child care quality through grants to Child Care Resource & Referral agencies and the direct administration of the Child Care Grant Program.

The CCPO promotes capacity and accessibility in child care with special attention to infants, school age child care, and children with special needs.

Bottom line, she's one of the Scum no matter what she says or does. She should be treated as such.
